Does anyone have experience refilling HP 60xl black and 60xl color cartridges? They are in the new HP F4480 printer. There are no postings on this forum on these cartridges that I can find, but there are several companies that sell refill kits for the 60xl carts.

My other questions are:

Can someone refer me to directions for plugging the hole after drilling and refilling? There is much discussion of screws and o-rings and rubber plugs but I can't find a beginner's guide with specific directions on the size of the drill, screw, and where to get o-rings.

What do I do if the printer refuses the refilled cart? How would I reset it? I have directions for the 3 cart method (putting in 3 carts in a row, causing the printer to reset for the 4th).

Thanks for any advice,

How i fill these cartridges is get a hair dryer or heat gun and heat up the hp label to remove it been careful not to over heat it. then you should see the fill hole under the label. put your needle in and fill. Put label back and you are done. If there is no fill hold get drill and make a hole then seal hole with the sticker. You can leave sticker on cartridge and just stick needle through the label. The fill hole is always at top of cartridge next to the HP logo just to the right of it.

To reset your printer follow these steps.

1. Press Cancel and Power, at the same time.
2. Then, the Unit will ask for a Key Combo, press blue, green, gray buttons (in order) for this.
3. Support Menu should appear.
4. Go to Resets menu and use the semi-full reset.

Hope this helps.
