I'm a bit puzzled that I haven't noticed a change in my prints since I started using my after market Image Specialist inks in my pro9000 mk2. I started off by just refilling without flushing the cartridges & was just waiting until the IS inks were fully established before I got some profiles made.
The status of my inks are...Red & Green Canon OEM ink.....Photo Magenta 2nd I.S. refill....Photo Black flushed & 100% I.S. ink...Photo Cyan Flushed & 100% I.S. ink...Cyan 2nd I.S. refill.....Magenta Flushed & 100% I.S. ink...Yellow Flushed & 100% I.S. ink.
The reason some cartridges have been flushed is I messed up refilling them & got ink in the air maze so I had to flush them out.
I would think that a majority of my printed ink colours are now coming from the IS after market inks & my prints look as good to me as the same prints I have done on Canon inks & papers & I was wondering if it's worth the money for a poor old pensioner like me to have some profiles made considering the Canon profiles I'm using now seem to be doing a good job with the IS inks on my cheaper brand photo papers.
Is this very unusual to be happening or does it mean my standards are very low?
