That's the way I and many others felt and it's why, with pharmacist's help, I started this thread.

If you work your way through post #1, you should find that Argyll works for you too. You can create your profiles with ColorMunki software, but you have tight copyright restrictions, with Argyll profiles made using the CM, you can more or less do what you like with them.

It is possible to distribute Argyll profiles as text files. That is an .icm file renamed as .txt.

You just left click on the "attached file" title below, check "save file" and "OK" to your chosen location. When saved, rename the file type .icm instead of .txt. You then have a profile file which should be "installed" in the "color" folder with all your other profiles.

These profiles were created for the Canon 9000 II printer, set to Photo Paper Pro Platinum, using IS inks on various papers as indicated by their file names. The profile creation processes employed the various CAP batch file programs listed in post #1 in this thread.

The images below illustrate scanned test prints showing the results of a CAP480 on Sihl Glossy 280g, a CAP750 and a CAP957 on PPD Pearl 200g.



Below are example profiles uploaded as .txt files.

I think we can distribute Argyll profiles as attachments to emails, but I wonder if we can distribute Argyll profiles as text files. This is an .icm file renamed as .txt.

Just testing to see if it can be copied and renamed .icm and see if it works as a profile.

Yes it does seem to work as a profile. Incidentally it was generated for a Canon Pro9000 II on microporous glossy Sihl paper.

Could someone else try this, to see if it works for them please?

I have tried to open the attachment in both Mac and PC with no success, must be doing something very wrong.

Ok may have just worked out my problem. I am looking at this on a MacBook Pro (boat anchor) will switch to a real computer my PC!

Some time has passed and I now have the profile on my PC with all the other profiles......What next Boss?
