I'm doing runs of over 30x A6 index cards (152x102mm), but the printer seems to be going at a snail's pace - and since I have to do manual duplexing, it takes double the time!
The printer runs at half speed, like it would when selecting High Quality in the print menu. This is noticable, since the fan runs at half speed too (half the noise). Occasionally it will run at the correct speed for a few cards, then ramp down for the rest. Other times it'll start at half speed from the beginning. Looking at the manual, the printer is configured with size-sensing hardware, so is it configured to slow down when it detects A6?
It's printing from a PDF, which usually isn't an issue. It's connected over 100MBPS ethernet, so I doubt it's slowing to keep up with the NIC?
Any suggestions?
