Epson1430 ink problem

  1. Recently I moved across state. In the process the Aristo1430 printer was shut
down for about two to three months. When I fired it up the other day the prints came out red. I did nozzle check and clean but no joy . So I replaced the nearly spent cartridges with all new LD recycled ink cartridges. But it is still only printing in red. The unit was working fine before I moved.
    Any help will be welcome

@robert molson, Power on your printer and then raise the top cover and wait till the print head moves to the centre position, then pull the power plug from the power outlet.

Next move the print head over to the left side of the carriageway and place some folded up paper towels soak in Windex on the platen area and pass the print head over them, make sure they don’t get stuck, press down on them to keep them flat.

Now leave the print head parked over these sheets for several hours, repeat the process if you wish the longer they’re there the better the treatment, 24 hours or even longer.

Remover the paper towels and power on your machine, make sure to have cartridges with ink in them, then run a head clean and a nozzle check, and see how good your print out looks...

Time and patients are essential for this procedure to work, so don’t try to rush anything...
I am sure if I’ve missed any steps then someone will chime in to correct it...
