Kind of you to respond Peter - many thanks. I assumed the carts were empty and injected the capacity amounts for listed for each empty cartridge. Apparently Canon has set up the ink monitor to show empty when in fact they are not? I have previously filled until the ink appears at the entry hole...
Using a Canon MG 2522 printer using PG 245 and CL246. I have viewed many YouTube refilling videos and none ever seem to address the problem I have each time I do a refill. To be specific - after filling either cartridges as shown in the videos, within minutes ink begins emptying out of the print...
I have an odd condition with my new Canon MG2522 printer with the latest driver software installed. When I go to commonly used print settings and attempt to save a setting for future use it will always selects landscape even though I have selected the Portrait orientation? I assumed that when...
Many thanks for your response and insights. Will check out the link you provided. Will also check for obvious overgrowth of fungi by puttin the inks in clear glass containers.
I have bottles of PG 245 and CL 246 that are about 5 or 6 years old and wonder if they are still usable without causing damage to the print head on the cartridges. My old MG2420 died and I have replaced it with a newer MG2522 which uses the same cartridge and ink
Just received a Canon MG 2522 all in one printer - have in the past refilled my older printer cartridges and now wondering what experiences members have had with the various bulk ink sellers and product quality. I plan to refill the PG 245 and CL 246 Canon OEM cartridges when needed.
Thanks for...
Wondering if the Canon ClI221 and PGI 220 cartridges and ink would safely work in my Canon MG 6821 which uses CLI271&PGI270. They appear to be compatible in size but wonder if the printer would recognize them and function, if so would the 221&220 inks create issues.
Just curious as I have a...
Researching refillable ARC carts and need help to determine if all CLi271 and PGi 270 cartridges are the same and will work in all Canon printers that use these cartridges. Some sellers of the refillable ARC CLi270 and PGi 270 specify specific Canon printer models or state their carts will work...
My MFG6221 Canon printer has stopped printing magenta and yellow and most likely requires cleaning/flushing resulting from lack of color printing; however the head is installed in a way I am unfamiliar with and unlike all my past Canon printers. Wondering if anyone is familiar with this printer...
Many thanks for the response and input Print Addict. Do I understand correctly that the replacement of an OEM Canon cartridge with the ARC cartridge need not wait for the red X but can be done an any time - for example at the yellow warning or before! One the other hand one must wait for the red...
Purchased Canon CLI271&PGI270 refillable ARC cartridges for my MG6821 printer. I have a few questions for those that have experience using them:
When is the most optimum time to install them - at the first empty warning or at the red X on my MG6821 model.
Should they be filled before the...
Getting back to resetting after refilling another forum member posted the following..."My recommendation and it still stands is that you use the aftermarket refills with ARC chips on these models. I use them myself and they work very well. Additionally on the CLI-270 /271 I have found that the...
I think the Hat has a good point - of the two genuine Canon cartridges I have refilled one filled without issues and the other began leaking profusely out of the outlet immediately upon filling. Possibly a defect or a Canon failure by design?
Thanks Ink Stained Fingers. Excellent examples - so one must assume that when forum members refer to Canon OEM cartridges they mean genuine Canon unless otherwise qualified and not competing compatibles.
Further comments on OEM cartridges - when I go to Walmart and purchase Canon cartridges off the shelf are these manufactured by Canon or by a company that manufactures the cartridges for Canon and so labels them?
There is some confusion regarding the term OEM (at least in my mind). When discussing Canon cartridges one often encounters forum members referring to cartridges manufactured and sold by the Canon company while others use the term to refer to products that are manufactured by other unrelated...
Thanks for the input RWL - wondering if your resetter was for the CLI270/271 cartridges? If so could you possibly provide from where you obtained it.
