Hi! I have a Canon PIXMA MP830 which has four dye based ink cartidges (including black) and a large black pigmented ink (PGI-5). Can use cheaper non-OEM dye based black in that slot or will it print poorly, screw up the nozzle head or cause other problems? I'd give Canon a call but it's obvious...
