Just an update: After four months of use, the OEM black cartridge has run out, so with bated breath, I changed it to a compatible one. Fortunately, it has accepted it without a problem. Yahoo!:celebrate
OK Hat, I did what you said and put in a full set of empty OEM'S switched on the printer and it seemed to reset. It then said that the Cyan cartridge was empty (obviously) so I then replaced that and rather than waiting for it to tell me the same about the others I replaced all the others back...
