It is a Pro-100s, not a Pro 10. Hopefully I will never see this error, but as you well know the tools and methods do disappear from the web over time.

This is for future reference in case the waste pad error occurs. I don't need it now and maybe in a few years the info won't be available.

Firmware 1.02 came with older machines from the factory. Mine is was purchased3 years ago and came with newer firmware.

That works on previous firmware, not on 2.031. No one I know who has recent firmware can get this to work. That is why I asked the question.

I haven't used a service tool as I can't get into service mode. Tried from off, press hold power, press resume 4, 5, 6 times no service mode entry. Others on same firmware I have talked to have same issue. Prior to firmware 2 seem to work fine.

My question was not on the software tool, it was how to get the Pro-100s into service mode as the posted methods do not work on firmware 2.031. I read the thread you reference, and the issue of service mode for the Pro-100s was brought up there but not answered.

Is there any update on getting a Canon Pro-100s firmware 2.031 into service mode?
