If you have only used the printer ten times since new, it sounds like you have those "starter" cartridges in the printer; manufacturers are notorious for putting just a little bit of ink in those carts that come with the printer, so you have to buy new ones very soon after you get the printer.
I purchased a canon G6020 mega tank printer from B&H last October, and it worked great until about a month ago when it began making a streek that showed up on solid areas, like photos. I tried cleaning, deep cleaning, and flushing the system, and it remained; I called Canon this past Tuesday...
I thought I would do a little follow-up with the canon Mega Tank G6020 printer. So far so good, in fact very good. I have been happy with both the output quality, the speed of printing, and ink usage. It is used in my office environment where I tend to use it for day-to-day printing and...
a little update on the G6020. I have had a little issue with paper feed from the bottom tray. When I print several copies, I find that sometimes one paper gets stuck in the feed, stick about halfway out into the pickup. From the back, the feed worked just fine. I printed a few copies of a...
Thanks, yeah I do also. It was my second MX922, it has been a good printer and I liked the fact that I could use aftermarket carts that were inexpensive. I was bummed when it went down, just wouldn't feed paper from the letter paper tray.
From my little time with the G6020 it's better for text on plain paper and as far as photos are concerned I would say they are about the same. I printed a few photos with the MX922 and was impressed by what it was, but have only printed one with the G6020, so I have no true comparison. I would...
The G6020, and so far so good. I had some issues with my MX922 printing small text, it was not sharp in places. The G6020 prints the same text very sharp, and the prints are good. I have a Pro 300 and o course photos are better with it, but for the $279 I paid (From B&H) for the Mega Tank, it's...
Recently my MX922 printer stopped feeding letter-sized paper and after checking it out it appears that there is a gear broken in the paper feed mechanism. It's not worth fixing and I have replaced it with a Canon Mega tank printer. I am left with a bunch of aftermarket cartridges for the MX922...
I checked out the Maxify line but I don't want to spend that much money on this printer. It will be my small photography studio printer for regular paper printing. I have a Canon Pro-300 for photo printing. I don't want to use the 300 for everyday printing and put it through all those extra...
I have had a Canon MX922 for about three years now (my second one) and it has stopped feeding paper from the bottom tray.
I have checked it out and it appears that it is a gear issue, and not something simple that I can fix so I am in the market for a new printer. I have been looking at the...
I have a Canon Pro-300, love it, and for the first time with a printer, I will only use Canon inks. I am using the printer in my photo studio, printing for customers so I just need it to work, and to deliver prints that will last for years and years, longer than most of my customers and myself...
I have always used aftermarket ink for printing, but I have never printed photos until recently. I decided that with the Pro-300 I would simply use the OEM Canon Inks. I am a studio photographer and I am making money from the prints. I wanted to be able to tell people the prints are archival...
Websnail. So I have used up the first cart on the canon pro 300, should I keep them in a plastic bag, keep as much air out as possible as I collect used carts? I kept the orange clip.
websnail. Thanks for the tip. I will do that. Unfortunately, the clips are gone from the original carts that came with the printer, but as I add new ones I will save them.
I recently purchased a Canon Pro 300 printer and set it up to print from USB on my Windows 10 machine. All works fine and I have been printing from On1 Photo RAW software. I downloaded Canon's Professional Print and Layout software and installed it as a stand-alone. it starts but asks for me to...
Because I just joined yesterday. Plus, for that printers, I have not really found a bad brand of ink. I don't use it for photos, just general printing.
I know this is an old thread but just ran across it. I bought from Abacus for years and was happy with them. In all the probably hundred of carts I bought from them I had an issue with the only two and they made it good. I was sorry to see them go, now I just kind of threw a dart against the...
I have been very happy with the results from the Luster, but I do love the look of the Polar Mat, especially for old restored photos. We do a fair amount of restoration in our studio ( I have a portrait wedding studio in Central California) Does the CO also get used with the Matt?
Thanks, palombian, I did get all 10 from B&H so I have backups and will make a note to watch the CO and GY tanks. I have been printing on Canon Pro Luster and some Red River Satin and Polar Matt so far. I have some glossy but have not printed on it yet.
