Acrobat Pro DC
From Right to Left, The relatively dark shade always appears where the first line of ink begins.
The gradient is more apparent in lighter tints of the Cyan.
Stratman, I truly appreciate your thoughts & invested time in this matter but I really don't know what to tell you about...
After browsing the web for a quality test image I found this pdf: http://cream.sourceforge.net/ColorCard.pdf.
I cropped the relevant section and printed it on plain A4 paper, without color management
Print settings Screen capture:
This pdf file contains Vector objects which means that you...
Yes, I am aware of that and as I mentioned before, when I specified my print settings, I chose only 1 source of color management at a time.
Usually, errors in color management result in incorrect colors, not gradients, at least from my experience.
I now understand that I did not fully explain...
In illustrator, there's no direct way to let the printer manage the color, so I first had to save it as a PDF.
In Acrobat print dialogue> advanced> I chose "Printer Color Management" and in the printer driver, I changed Matching to "Auto".
The results remained the same.
I also tried to print 4...
I just printed a new image file containing 4 rectangles, each in a different light-Blue/Cyan tint.
The gradient appears in each of the rectangles in the same position.
It seems to me like a hardware issue, but unfortunately, the printer isn't under warranty anymore.
After recreating a new version of the file-
-Tried to print it again from illustrator and then from Acrobat as a pdf > The results remained the same.
- I am not sure what you meant in default settings for printing, defaults for the chosen media type (like quality, tray, and paper size)?
Another...
Except for another ink refill, I haven't changed anything, the exact print settings/software were used.
I created the image file in illustrator in AdobeRGB color space and printed it with illustrators print dialogue.
I let illustrator manage the color and use ICC profile I created specifically...
This a picture of a nozzle check from Canon site:
In this picture, I can see a visible difference between the M and PM, However in this link the so-called "correct shades" look like so:
It's a nozzle check of the Pro9500 but in this example, the M and PM look very similar.
Maybe, I...
I just found this very useful thread on correct shades in nozzle checks:
https://www.printerknowledge.com/threads/diagnosing-color-problems-on-a-pro9500.11490/
As far as my eyes can tell, I believe my nozzle check looks as it should, doesn't it?
Yes, I see it too, both pigments looked similar in all nozzle checks that I can remember.
Have you used PC72 inks? I have not yet witnessed other users results.
But even if that will turn out to be a problem in need of fixing, it doesn't explain the printed gradient.
You understood correctly. The print is darker while printing the first lines of the image, not just along the edge of the sheet.
As I replied to Stratman, I did try to print a layout of 4 x A5 copies on 1 sheet and a darker cyan appeared along the right border in each of them, not just along...
By "sending" I meant printing straight from the computer via USB.
The desired shade is somewhere between the lighter & the darker.
I haven't tried printing it on a different paper, however, I did try to print a layout of 4 x A5 copies on 1 sheet and a darker cyan horizontal border appears along...
Hello,
I own my Pro 10 about 2 years now and I use it mainly to print graphics on matte uncoated papers.
Recently, When sending an image with a solid color Cyan'ish background it prints darker at the beginning of the image and gradually becomes brighter.
I had already printed many copies of the...
Just make sure not to alter or delete the "in ml" columns for these are self-calculated by a formula, unless of course, you want to change that formula...
Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and I have invested some time in preparing a spreadsheet inspired by this thread: https://www.printerknowledge.com/attachments/snap-2016-08-06-at-10-17-35-png.4512/.
I had altered a few things and added some automatic functions & additional Data.
The file...
