I'm just wondering if there is any knowledge on fixing/clearing a 6C10 error on my old Pixma MP980.
I understand it is to do with possibly full ink absorbers.
I tried blotting excess fluid out of a pad to the right of the printer cartridge assembly, and that seemed to...

@mikling: thanks for the link. I did find the information, but I still thought it odd it wasn't in the ip4950 manual.
The printer has not responded to my efforts, so alas, I can do no more.
But there was serendipity... a friend had wanted to simplify their home-office...

I do a fair bit of home printing: CD/DVD labels, software manuals, and general household stuff - timetables, pdf's etc. I have a good scanner, so I prefer a "single function" printer. I have been happily using the Canon ip4950 for about 4 years, but recently got the error code of five flashes on...
Agreed, it was an eye-opener for me.
My brother was in the army, but our then Prime Minister, Gough Whitlam, withdrew Australia from the conflict while he was training. We were all very reliefed about that. So much insight into an event that shaped our lifes.
Thank you. I find that a decently bound manual or booklet is so much more attractive and long-lasting.
I did a fair bit of research into "home bookbinding", and the technique I've evolved is IMHO simple and effective. Happy to share with any interested parties. Here for example, is a manual...
