I’ve purchased and Use 2 HP 7500 series printers among a couple of Epson Workstations.
Here’s the two issues I’m having and hope someone has the knowledge and experience to help.
1) The Cyan cartridge (replaced with HP new twice) just wont print through...did numerous head cleanings and...
So ... In reality. It shouldn't make a difference (other than cleanliness) of the new larger chip in place of the smaller one, but to keep the contact patch as close as possible I think I still believe in the custom fit so it's tight and I can "Hopefully " get a good full read from the cartridge...
Well I agree it would be "fiddley" work but it may come to that point. The first thing I'm going to try is take one of my empty S and remove the OEM Chip, file/scrap/Cut-or somehow got the larger chip into the space and (it's beyond me) hope that the communication that was present with the OEM...

It seems there are two types of chips available (maybe not) but some Hp 564's use a small chip while others of the same (say cyan 564xl) have differing chips. I did a bit of research and it would seem the smaller ones are newer and harder to exchange. My Question to the forum is this ... I...
As long as the "proper" ink are made available, chip resetters, (for Canon and Epson) are inexpensive and proper chips for Hp models are exchanged (and work) the cost becomes minimal. All that's left is only a labour issue and a shipping cost for your initial setup and continued toner or inks.
