Spot on, use distilled water to clean out the cartridge and dry it best you can. Leave it overnight to let the water evaporate than refill and you can start printing again.
There shouldn't be any issues with running a dye through a pigment based printer such as the R2880. I work at rihac in Australia and we also have sold dye systems to customers in the past and we even had one in the back of store we used occasionally. As long as the ink he is selling isn't bad...
As Simon mentioned starter cartridges are usually 1/2 full so if you are getting 200-300 pages with a new cartridge a guess would be around 150 pages but finding mL comparisons online are a bit hard to come by these days.
I would have to agree with Wayne, using the wrong ink in your printer will result in serious colour shifts. If you are unable to find the exact ink you need at least use Canon as the colours will be closer to correct than if you are using HP or Epson ink in a Canon.
Hi Miyodo, my name is Liam and I work very with printers with systems installed on them at rihac. As the printer was working before you brought it home there is a few things to check.
When you inhertied the printer did it come with an instruction booklet? Possibly contact the supplier directly...

It will be pretty hard to find an Artisan 730 now especially with the release of the Epson Expression series. You could look at the Epson T50, essentially the same as an Artisan 730 except has no scanner and LCD screen. The T50 is a few years old now so there is definitely a CISS available in...
Hi, I currently work at rihac and work very closely with printers via our inklink products. The answer to both your questions is yes. The ink does matter when you are refilling, certain printers will use its own series of ink. This type of ink can be used amongst multiple printers however it...
I would not look at the Epson line if you are intending to refill OEM cartridges as they can be a bit tricky. You're best off staying with the Canon line of printers as they are much easier to maintain and refill the OEM cartridges. I work for Rihac and although we do not sell printers I work...
