I dont like this purging, is it necessary?
It seems better to fill the emptied cartridge immediately with new ink, before the sponge gets the chance to dry out. Then store them with ink in it.
After purging some mls of water stay behind in the sponge, which will dilute the ink. It will be...
This is a good deal. I have positive experience with Photo Paper Plus Glossy II
That paper works fine with the Epson dye inks. Skin tones are even better than the Epson premium Glossy paper.
Go for it!
Youre right, Hat, this sucks so much.
But look on the bright side of this matter: now you have an excuse to buy yourself a new printer.
It is the expensive solution. But hey, now you can finally buy that XP800 :celebrate
Now for the cheap solution: start reusing one of your older printers, like...
There is universal printer ink around, and it's cheap. It's the cheapest solution, but not the best!
So it's better to use dedicated ink for your printer. Just google on 'Epson SX130 ink' and different offers will show.
The prices are different, and so is the quality.
You also have to invest in...
Thanks guys for the useful tips.
I will certainly try the Ocean paper, as this can be obtained easily in Europe. That doesnt go for the Staples product, but the tip is useful for our American members.
Interesting is the use of a sticker in the same size of the paper, I will try that too.
Why should anyone want to print on the back of photo paper? To make greeting cards!
Ive tried different combinations, pigment and dye ink, for Epson and Canon. Papers by Epson and Sihl. But the back of photo papers are simply not printable. The ink takes hours to dry and then it still can be...
Many people use a main switch to disconnect the computer and other equipment after closing down. But for certain generation of Canon printers it is recommended to keep the printer connected to mains all the time.
Until now I kept my Canon printer connected to the mains. But it appeared that the...
Users can easily get around the registration by paying the printer cash.
The marks can be made visible with a blue LED light.
As far as I know this technique is not used on inkjet printers.
Thanks for the feedback, Pharmacist. I'm glad the K3 type of ink works well in your workforce printer too. The K3 can also be used in the colour section of my printer, for more gloss in the lighter shades of the photo.
So early in the morning I went to Aldi. Only 10 packages of each appeared to be present. So this offer is not for resellers.
I bought a package of each and left the rest to other people. The 300gsm and 150 sheets appeared to be correct. Nowhere on the package is Sihl mentioned. But it does say...
If one color stops the cause is often an air lock.
Hoe to repair it:
-fill a syringe with 2 ml of cleaning fluid for print heads.
-remove the ink cartridge
-place the syringe directly on to the ink connector, don't use a needle. Some newer printers need a piece of tube between the connector and...
It seems to be the same paper, but why the costly 15 sheets package in Germany?
In the Netherlands there is no silk surface paper on offer.
Great tip, Peter, to use the silk paper for extended nozzle checks. I have some left over silk paper from a previous offer.
Alibaba also sells ink sets. I think their free shipping store is called AliExpress. Another free shipping store is Linexports. It's a bit more costly than AliExpress, but not really expensive.
But maybe you rather buy premium ink at one of the sites in the US, to prevent clogging.
Aldi Netherlands, from saturday august 10.
The picture says 300g/m and 150 sheets, but the announcement says 280 g/m and 100 sheets.
Enfin, we'll see on Saturday
Sorry Mikling, I may have been misinformed. I got my information here:
http://www.photographyblog.com/news/epson_launches_expression_home_printer_range_and_claria_home_ink/
But BNDAZ doesn't need the photo printing and he seems to go for the XP600, which is an excellent choice.
The Hat:
Refilling Canon OEM cartridges is less easy than filling empty cartridges with ARC chip. Most forum members here dont recommend refilling Canon non OEM cartridges and Canon refillable ARC cartridges.
So thats why I advise Epson for easy refilling.
BNDAZ:
The Epson Expression Home...
I noticed that on a Durabrite+ printer the black ink is used too if the paper is set to matte.
It must be the case on a workforce model as well.
So you can print with CMYK just by setting the paper to matte. You dont like matte paper? Then fill the black cartridge with photo black and the paper...
Moms are great in the kitchen, so maybe they like to fill cartridges as well.:thumbsup
Im satisfied with my Epson printer with refillable cartridges. Refilling is easy: remove the plug, inject ink and restore the plug. The ARC resets itself
I recommend Epson because there are spongeless...
Sounds like a nasty problem, Soporose.
Try this: Put a document in the scanner and tick copy on the screen. The printer should then make a scan and print it without the computer connection.
-If this works then the printer has to be installed on the PC again.
-If this doesnt work then there must...
The BKP114 is more or less 'semi-gloss'. It is not sold often, because there is hi-gloss BKP202 en matte BKP203. The matte ink shows the deepest black. It must be the reason why Octopus-Office doesn't sell BKP114 any more. But it still can be ordered at OCP.de
So the options are:
BKP115: matte...
