After turning the printer on this morning, the first thing I did was a nozzle check and the black nozzle shows broken lines and the yellow nozzles shows signs of black.
The life support has now been turned off, all that is left to do is arrange a burial for it now, at least I have the original...

My R3880 is still in intensive care, I am refusing to turn off the life support. I decided yesterday to open her up one last time and perform a laparotomy on her.

The printer is on borrowed time and I expect it to die within a few days so just getting ready to sell on for spares
Interesting question, I think I may have had a -100 saturation layer above the main layer.
I am going to re-spot the patches again to include the a & b values. By including the a & b values, will this allow us to work out just how neutral or not the ABW drive is ?

Interesting comments been posted. I think I must have been unlucky with my 3880 as most people I have spoke with say how robust and reliable it is even after years and years of hard use.
The reason for the question was to see if anyone had actually purchased this printer and what:
They thought about the HD inks
What they thought about the build quality of the printer
