Yes I believe there are some diamonds in the rough and I guess its a case of taking a chance on them even though you cant demo them on the spot, I am after a workhorse IP series and a nice wide format printer, of course then there's the sellers who don't understand the concept of used/2nd hand...

before you use them (just before you insert them into the printer) make sure the outlet port sponge is fully saturated with ink, if its not gently blow on the vent till a drop of ink comes out, then its good to insert provided ink is not dripping out constantly.

I finagled the clear hose onto the 226 ink outlet port and the 225 outlet port :cool: with some hot water and persuasion but your clips make it super easy and make more sense, I got the job done though! cheers Ant

I used the same setup with distilled water and push the water through the ink outlet port to enhance the sponges filtering effect when the cartridge is in use.

Well after refilling for the first time on this machine then printing with total abandon to my hearts content I have to say I'm very happy so far, sliding the oem empty cartridge into the blue re-setter that I'd prepared with loving care and instruction from this forum, seeing the orange LED...
