My Epson printer, WP-4530, is not on the list. Is there any hope that the reset for the waste ink tank is the same as for another printer? I know the waste ink tank is user removable but it costs about $65 and I don't know if it is trivial to empty it but that price seems quite high.

It used to be the absence of a pigment black cartridge and possibly additional dye colors beyond the basic four that identified a printer as "photo" but obviously that doesn't hold true for these two printers. Maybe the lack of an auto sheet feeder is what makes the difference.

That is a strange one. Did you remove the print head and clean the bottom? There may be either dried ink deposits or an accumulation of wet ink. It probably won't fix all the problems but it may remove some of the weirdness.

That sounds like the significant difference between the MP780 and the Pro 1 so I doubt that you will have the same problem I had.

Yes, the photo colors are favored by the printer. Since they have about 1/7 of the color intensity as the regular colors, it's a good thing you refill.
