Shhhhhh... Epson Reset Programs Infinite Use No Fee

My Epson printer, WP-4530, is not on the list. Is there any hope that the reset for the waste ink tank is the same as for another printer? I know the waste ink tank is user removable but it costs about $65 and I don't know if it is trivial to empty it but that price seems quite high.

Canon Mp500 - What Are These Tubes? - Cleaning Problem Printing Black Pigment

After you put Windex or water on the purge pads, then do a cleaning cycle, if it's gone, the purge pump is working. Then, if you want to test the additional tubes and you have a printer like mine, then you can put liquid on the purge pads, close and re-open the cover, if it's gone, the...

Canon Mp500 - What Are These Tubes? - Cleaning Problem Printing Black Pigment

The purpose of the two extra tubes is to permit selective head cleaning: for just the pigment black or for just the dye inks and they also allow the printer mechanism to run the purge system without actually doing a purge. Since the other two tubes go through the purge unit which have a pair of...

    Staples Buying Empty Cartridges

I just discovered a bad experience. Last month, I purchased another Epson WP-4530 printer from Staples, using rewards and a coupon, along with a $38 ink cartridge to qualify for the rewards program for another six months. I also turned in ten cartridges at the same time (and another ten the next...

    Looking For A New Printer

I'm very happy with the Epson WP-4530 AIO that I bought earlier this year. I found that the new pigment ink can print on any photo paper and the ink lasts a very long time so I don't plan to refill. The four cartridges are very large and are connected by tubing to the print head. I have been...

    Bci-6 Cartridges For Sale

Are these cartridges that have never been used, still containing original ink? Are the orange caps still welded on and the rip-off seal on the top still intact? And where are you located, I presume the USA since you mentioned Priority Mail? Are you willing to ship anywhere in the world?

Canon Printhead Life Span, How Many Pages

What do you mean by this statement? What does using the resetter properly have to do with the waste ink pad? And how do you use the resetter improperly? I think a problem, which I have promoted I'm sorry to say, is using Windex on the pads where the print head parks which fills the waste ink...

Canon Printhead Life Span, How Many Pages

The problem is, when the printer goes bad, it's too late to find out the information. Also, there are two different factors involved. One is the life of the printhead, as you mentioned in your title, and the other is the life of the printer, which you mentioned in your post. If you have a lot...

I Have 2 Printers Set Up, Which One Is Better For Printing Color Photos ?

It used to be the absence of a pigment black cartridge and possibly additional dye colors beyond the basic four that identified a printer as "photo" but obviously that doesn't hold true for these two printers. Maybe the lack of an auto sheet feeder is what makes the difference.

Why in the world would Canon allow you to Disable Ink monitoring?

That's not the only reason. Here are some more: Without the chip, the printer can't even tell if a cartridge is inserted in the printer which means it can't tell if a cartridge is inserted all the way or if the wrong color cartridge is inserted. Without the chip, the printer can't tell how...

iP3600 nozzle check not clearly showing electronic failure

That is a strange one. Did you remove the print head and clean the bottom? There may be either dried ink deposits or an accumulation of wet ink. It probably won't fix all the problems but it may remove some of the weirdness.

To Fit or not to Fit a Waste ink Tank on a Canon Printer ?

That sounds like the significant difference between the MP780 and the Pro 1 so I doubt that you will have the same problem I had.

To Fit or not to Fit a Waste ink Tank on a Canon Printer ?

When I tried an external waste ink tank on my MP780 , it turned out the ink in the extension tubes exposed to air would dry out and clog. I also found that the pump generated very little pressure which limited the length of the extension tube. Maybe your printers are different but I'm wondering...

refilling cli-8pm and some others Cannon Pro 9000II

Yes, the photo colors are favored by the printer. Since they have about 1/7 of the color intensity as the regular colors, it's a good thing you refill.

***WARNING*** driver update tries to install new firmware

But these issues are only a problem if you are refilling, correct? If you buy Epson cartridges, then is there any disadvantage to keeping the printer up-to-date with driver and firmware upgrades?

    Staples Buying Empty Cartridges

Today I took ten more cartridges into a Staples to recycle and it suddently dawned on me that maybe my six-month period had expired so I asked the clerk whether Staples would be alerting me when this would happen and I was told "No". Just to confirm, I called the 800 number on the back of the...
