I think I'll move on to win7 now, as the free upgrade to 10 has already shown up on my wife's win7 computer and will undoubtedly do the same on my new one. I can cruise along with 7 until we have solid reporting of all my old printers working on 10.
I'm still on XP. I have two BCI-6 printers in current use plus two in reserve. One CLI-8 in use and two in reserve. At my age that's a lifetime supply of refillable printers! One of my BCI-6 printers is on my wife's Win7 computer, so I expect that my Stash of printers will have drivers...
Nice little fishing boat! In the US I've used Berkley fishing line for salt water fishing in the SF Bay and out "the gate" on the Pacific, but Berkley doesn't have much to sell me for fresh water fly fishing. I don't think we have Berkley boats here. Looks like the boat and motor must have...
re: @Emulator's photo of the flower. @3dogs has it just right! In addition to the fabulous color it has selective focus with a blurred neutral background, fantastic detail, and very good framing or cropping. @RogerB, likewise, has given us a picture that excels in selecting a dramatic point...
looks like the Australian Black Bream seems to have sharp spines in the dorsal fin. Our Striped Bass in the SF Bay area have a sharp spine in the dorsal fin also, and it becomes painfully apparent when handling or cleaning one for the first time!
Two years ago I found an ip4500 on craigs list. Turns out the seller was a young student from Japan who was studying English in San Francisco and was leaving to go home. He had only used the printer for class papers - text only, and had all the nearly full original OEM color carts still in the...
Absolutely right, Martin. I only bought used printers if they 1)had only used OEM ink, 2)had OEM carts in place with enough ink to run a test, and 3) if I was able to bring photo paper and a test picture to the seller's place to run both a nozzle test and do a test print.
It did cut the risk...
If $40 brings the printer back to proper function it is a risk I would take. Be sure, however, that the replacement head you buy is new in the factory packaging and not used or "refurbished". As an aside I've purchased two used ip4300's on Craig's list (San Francisco Bay Area) in the last two...
Quoting @3dogs: "have we not actually achieved PRINTERKNOWLEDGE in an area that is rarely covered, where there are no books and no tutorials....."
I'll repeat @The Hat's post - Well said @3dogs! We move into the "why" to add to the "how" of what we shoot for (pun intended).
Much food for thought and for a continued conversation on tribal rootedness and the consequences of its disruption. As to the healing service of chanting and drumming, I did have the opportunity to experience this first hand when living on the Navajo reservation.
My dental assistant and...
in 1957 I volunteered to work in the dental clinic on the Navajo reservation at Fort Defiance, Arizona, and lived on the reservation for three months. The medical intake form had two check boxes for religion - Catholic and Protestant. A sick patient might come into the hospital on one occasion...
For me, the top image has more mystery and artistic impact. Notwithstanding the canvas texture, which I find adding much to an impressionistic feel, it does remind me of many color pictures I've taken that gain greater visual impact with use of a polarizing filter. In pre-digital days the...
