No luck with the 805 or 1800 drivers - when I 'send' the relevant timer setting it doesn't seem to hold. This is very frustrating, as it seems like the setting should be there, but is locked out with this strange message: "Option Information has already been stored. Therefore you do not need to...
No, it seems like a strange oversight. Especially to have auto power off enabled by default, which is usually bad for keeping printheads free of problems.
I just bought a used one. Does anyone know how to disable the automatic shutoff timer? Mine shuts down after two hours or so of idle. In my other printer there is a setting for this, but I can't find it in the L800 driver.
They are refillable cartridges. I have several types using two different chipsets (6.0 and 6.3) and all have this issue. I don't have any oem carts at hand at the moment. I did order a resetter at one point, I'll need to find it.
I spent a little time trying to troubleshoot the 1430 cartridge error. It seems that I can load 5 cartridges and it will recognize them, but once all six are in when I insert the forth it goes back to saying all six are unrecognized. I tried every possible combination of insertions with the same...
Can you give quick ranking of how the Epson bottled dye inks perform in terms of fading? Also, Do you know of any regional differences between equivalent model inks (like the 106 and 512 or the 673x and 673x20)
I have 3 sets of refillable cartridges. 2 are version 6 chips and one is version 6.3. unfortunately I can't find any of the originals.
At this point I don't think it will run well until I replace the encoder strip. It's quite badly stained. Once a replacement arrives I'll try to get the...
OK, So I removed the encoder strip and cleaned it well, and this got rid of the fatal error. But now it is not recognizing any of my ink carts. I had v6 in, and tried the v6.3.
Any ideas?
THe wiper is down and I never forced the carriage lock.
Before I turned it back on I moved it back to the home position. I can move it freely from one side to the other. Does anything in the picture attached look out of place?
(Inkstained, if this is the end of my printer, how would a locally...
I seem to have now caused a bigger problem during attempting to clean the heads. I must have gotten something out of position or blocked. Now when I power on the printer it tries to get the carriage into the home position, but apparently is not able to get the carriage locked, I then get power...
Thanks for your suggestions. I have not been able to get those missing nozzles back yet (using a few techniques short of a full flush) , but I did confirm that the problem disappears when high speed printing is disabled. Does this indicate it is a software control issue? should I perhaps...
I just printed this check.
I'm using Precision Colors dye inks - probably considered a bit old at this point (about 5 years)
This started when I did a quick print job (colored and black text) after not using the printer for a few weeks. The color nozzles showed some evidence of gaps, but the...
Thanks as always for your prompt help. I did clean the encoder strip, but that doesn't seem to be the issue, particularly since it is particular to black. Note the crop of this test page I printed below.
I'm wondering if anyone can enlighten me about what signs of a failing print head look like on this series printer.
Due to the recent situation I have been neglecting my 1430 a bit. Aside from the usual nozzle issues that I have mostly solved, I have this strange doubling from black which is...
