I have two of these printers both set with refillable carts (NON OEM CARTS).
There is a Network Firmware update from Epson that came out Aug 31 2018. I haven't updated to this firmware as of yet.

As you stated in this comment, once the temp drops you will get this issue. My print shop will get pretty cold during the night (around 45/50 degrees). I dont print during the weekend and when I get into the shop on Mondays the printers I have at times will have missing bits from the nozzle...

Are you asking if you can add the OEM ink with the empty refillable carts? If so, yes, you should no have a problem with adding Epson ink in the refillable carts.
The refillable carts shouldn't give you any problem. They're most likely just the generic china carts you can get for...
