Perhaps a cheap laser might do, although finding one which prints at the speed you want might be a challenge.
Many inkjets will claim to print at that speed. Why not get one that is re-fillable? Then you'll be able to get the speed, and refill your colour carts if and when they get used or dry up.
Yes..it is worth it, especially if you are printing documents., not photos.
In general, most people are very satisfied with the lower cost option of compatibles.
Welcome to this Forum, by the way...
As a general rule, it is always better to underfill than overfill. You can always add more ink later.
You also have another option...compatibles for these are VERY inexpensive
They don't have to know that you use refill inks. Just let them know that your machine does not power up. I'm sure one of their technicians would test this with you over the phone. If it turns out to be your power cord, they will replace it. If you know someone with a similar printer, you could...
I would suggest that for all HP carts, you buy a bottom filler. ALL HP carts can be filled from the bottom, and this cheap tool also can be used to suck out a few ccs if the cart is overfilled.
You can also buy ones for the 23, 17, 41, 78 etc that will let you suck some ink out from the bottom...
Two things...have you really printed 25000 pages???
Secondly, you still have 6 months on your warranty, so if it is an electrical problem (or any other problem), Canon will replace any defective part, or even replace your entire printer.
If I were you, I'd phone them right away. It's a free...
Yes...overfilling!!
It is always best to underfill..especially when you are new to refilling. Take out a few ccs of ink from each colour chamber, and you should be OK.
If not, please repost here.
Not so...there is a software tool which you can use to reset the pg-40 and cl-41 series successfully., as well as the 30-31 and 50-51 series.
