The Changeover finally happened with my Pro 10 printer..

If it is the Precision Colors CO Optimiser, it performs very well in the PRO-10, I see no difference with OEM.

Pro 10s banding. This only happens in muddy mid-tones, bright mixed areas are fine. I have tried head re-alignmen.

I observed this now and then with Octoink GY, but not as bad as this. Did you try both Normal or High Quality settings, the latter should be better.

My MAXIFY 5350 is on refill ink

This proves again setting the timer with the appropriate service tool solves the battery error. Good luck with the scanner ! Concerning my Maxify, refilling OEM carts with the Canon bottled ink for the ecotank version works very well. The only issue still is contamination of the color with the...

    Canon Black ink fade test..

A late reply: I am a cheap guy too, but hoarded brand papers of reasonable quality (kind Ilford Smooth Pearl, HP Advanced Photo Paper, stuff most "experienced" photographers wouldn't touch ;)) together with Hahnemuhle and the like. I also buy sometimes off-brand papers sold (in Europe) as...

GI-26 Ink for Maxify printers (GI-56 in Europe)

I have no idea why the octopus.de inks started to cause problems, anyway it went away with other inks. 2500 C-M-Y Maxify carts are empty at 47g, no biblical multiplication of ink here. I refill now again the official way when the chip shows empty (about every 2 months with my volume).

GI-26 Ink for Maxify printers (GI-56 in Europe)

Not smart from both of us . The Maxify ink is named BK. But the octopus-office.de 'BK' ink had glossy patches on office paper, that's why I thought MBK would be better, since I don't print photos with the Maxify. Wrong, genuine BK has smooth and even black surfaces on office and photo...

GI-26 Ink for Maxify printers (GI-56 in Europe)

From all older large format printers (Lucia ink). Same as in the PRO-9500. My mistake was trying with MBK.

GI-26 Ink for Maxify printers (GI-56 in Europe)

My Maxify is as new since I refill the colors with GI-56. Large format OEM ink needed regular cleaning cycles, but for BK PFI-701BK works extremely well. It is indeed rather fussy about ink .

Canon pro 10s Line Though my prints Top to bottom

There are other irregularities around the line. Maybe a printhead travelling speed problem. Could be the printer was stored in a dirty/dusty location. Did you check the timing belt is clean ? (be carefull with this) Sticky sliding bars ? (never seen this though).

Canon pro10s poor nozzle check result

I left my PRO-10 unused and switched off 4 weeks several times and never had any problem. Same with my PRO-9500's before.

Is it dead - Canon Pixma Pro 10-S, 26 flashes, error 6700

Thanks Manu. Regarding printer potties, I once installed one on my MX7600 All-in-one (using the same PGI-9 carts as the PRO-9500) and I made the error to place the potty beneath the printer. This increased the ink purge volumes considerably (due to the ink column in the narrow tube). Don't...
