Chip Resetter for Canon ImagePROGRAF 1000

In my experience the PRO-10 can print higher gamuts and deeper blacks on matte papers with normal Matte paper settings (without 30mm border restriction) than the PRO-9500 where only Fine Art lays enough ink. It is not a major concern for me anymore. I know people who are very happy with their...

Chip Resetter for Canon ImagePROGRAF 1000

Width is maximum 355mm. I cut a slice from A2 just in case. From a roll a bit longer, but these printers never had a panorama software update. PRO-1000 and PRO-300 can do 990mm (as Epsons).

Chip Resetter for Canon ImagePROGRAF 1000

PRO-10 (and PRO-9500) can print 355mm large at 584 long (65mm less wide and 10mm shorter) via the manual feed. On the normal tray 329mm wide and 676mm long.

Chip Resetter for Canon ImagePROGRAF 1000

Peace ! My excuses in @The Hat 's name. He was only joking about José's endless youtube videos ;) . I always appreciated your contributions there. From my experience with the PRO-10 your inks are the best 3th party available (sadly economically not viable to purchase overseas, but that's...

    Inktec Pigment Ink

From my observations - not tests - 3th party pigment inks fade slow enough to make you wait a long time for results. Yellow is one of the first colors to loose intensity. Let's say you don't risk much the first 10 years. The physical properties are the major concern IMO, you risk banding due to...

    Inktec Pigment Ink

As said, most chances the ink is better than 3th party copies of the original Lucia. No idea if changes in the printheads and inks of later generations would make older inks unusable. But supply is dwindling and prices rising (and this conversation won't help much to that).

    Inktec Pigment Ink

Personally never considered the plotter inks, but it is Lucia pigment. You won't fill the complete PRO-1000 ink set, but you probably will need a custom profile if correct colours is a concern. Report your experience !

    Inktec Pigment Ink

I suppose you mean Lucia EX inks for large format printers. Although the PRO-1000 uses Lucia PRO - a later development, with probably smaller (resin encapsulated) pigment parts - chances are big the EX overall quality is better than Inktec. I have no problems with these inks in the PRO-10, being...

Chip Resetter for Canon ImagePROGRAF 1000

I've seen @jtoolman 's videos too and appreciate the geniosity of @mikling , but if I had a PRO-1000 I would have come to the same conclusion as @The Hat . The carts are so large that the time between weighing and refilling the carts is large enough. There is no flushing afterwards either as...

Paper Jam - All the causes [input needed]

My PRO-10 gives a paper jam warning from time to time without any paper stuck. I then insert a heavy A3+ sheet backwards through the rollers. This seems to toggle a switch and the printer makes a lot of noises but it clears the error. No idea where the switch is located.

    Problematic Maxify printer...

Be kind to your printer and behave as an unsuspected user ;) . I refill when the (autoreset) chip shows the red cross (by opening the front door as the printer expects you to do - you have all the time, it doesn't retract the printhead after a while as some other printers do) and with GI-56 ink...

Where to download Maxify 5120 firmware?

I remember you could choose some options about connectivity when installing the printer. Anyway I don't receive those messages. But is is possible the procedure has changed in later models. The convention on this forum is never do upgrades unless you need to. No idea how to stop them. Maybe...

    Problematic Maxify printer...

Maybe B504 is not only a protection against missing ink flow, but scares also people doing unconventional things with cartridges. There are some videos about resetting the printer (a manipulation that looks like entering service mode). https://www.inkhub.com.au/ink/b504-error-canon-maxify-printers

    Problematic Maxify printer...

Just thinking but no answer... B504 is raised when the printer does not detect ink flow (with the sensor in the printhead). Strange enough this should not have occurred since there was enough ink (or the sensor should have failed or the magenta channel clogged). The error should clear after...

    Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 uneven margins

Maybe mixing margin settings in the printer driver with those in LR/PS causes this. I never change anything in the printer settings and the margins correspond with what is set in LR (PRO-10, PRO-9500II). I print borderless most of the time and until now was able to clean up the mess in the...

How much effort is it worth to save my Canon Pro-10

I see. But why not have 2 of them ? Every professional photographer has a backup camera body. A printer takes more room of coarse, but I have both my PRO-10 and PRO-9500II one above the other on a recovered TV table.
