Hi there
Sorry I did not see your post earlier regarding the WF4540.. Here is a photo of the new version chip for the 4530 refillable cartridges.
I have not had to change batteries on any of our printers yet (running over one year) but just in case here is the info...
LJH
Our chips are different, newer version set...6764R 3D /backside 011640
No worries, if yours works go with it...
Looking at your photo, I would clean the contacts
LJH
Label is the same, cartridge is slightly different..
What is the chip version.. such as 6764R......676 = cartridge style.....4 = color (yellow)..... R = Revised
LJH
Yes OK to remove and inspect
I can only speak for ours...
Manual reset only, these are smart battery powered chips.. Removing cartridge on this model doesn't reset...
Pointing at battery (first image), I have not had to replace battery since I installed these in our test printer, ages...
Hi Jeff
On our 4500 series (4520/4530/4540) refillable, reset when you refill by a touching two contacts.
I instruct customers to check levels periodically, then refill and reset, thus avoiding any problems of using an empty cartridge,

Hi annel
I would check the ink level in the Piano Book ( lay the piano book on its back, do this three times, this works out the air in the back tank)
Another reason why we went to the deluxe tank...air in the back tank..
Next
Take the maintenance plug out the cartridge, raise Piano Book and...
Hi there
When you setup your ciss for the first time, you want to purge as much air as possible, it does not have to be completely purged...(a little air in the cartridge is OK)
You will want to set your tank at a height to supply ink effortlessly to the printhead...(not to high and not to low...
Hi guys
Interesting cartridge design..
Several inquires on the XP 600 and 800 refillables
These are non OEM, "Epson wants me to say that, I don't blame them, this is how they make money"

Hi Annel
I sent you instructions on how to check the ink levels in the cartridges..
Put rubber gloves on, remove ciss cartridges, remove rubber plug on the top of cartridge, one at a time...
Inspect ink level in each cartridge..
Elevate tank, watch ink displace air in cartridges..
Run...

Hi egore
Epson Artisan 700-837 auto reset chips do not require a battery...
Only certain model printers require that setup, those models need to be powered, Epson wf 520, nx 420, nx 125... no advantage to these printers
Artisan 837 prints a great photo..

Open up the cover, with a small flashlight, look at the ink tubes in the printer that are routed to the printheads.
Are they filled with ink? The black will be hard to tell, cast the light thru the black ink tube to inspect ink flow...
If your priming station is not priming the printheads it...
Hi Angel4b
Unless you have used pigment or mixed inks, it may not be a clogged printhead. The Artisan 700-837 use a dye based ink....
I have a model 700 running for years without a single printhead cleaning....
Many times it is an ink delivery problem....
All ciss cartirdges have a rubber...
Hi there
I have had a Artisan 700 and 810 with a CISS positioned above printheads without a single issue.
You are less likely to get air in the lines due to expansion and contractions of ink.
