SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

I am really sorry for everyone who would have liked to know if I find the solution to my problem, which I will. But after some consideration I have come to the conclusion that I will not partake in a forum that requires immediate “compliance” as opposed to cooperation. There comes a point in an...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

I will give this some time and report back with my findings in a few days. Thanks for all assistance so far

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

I have tried that from within Affinity and Epson print layout (a 52 ramp greyscale to be precise). Would printing known grey patches from windows image viewer work for this test? The result from my first gray patch prints are hard for me to evaluate but there is a what I perceive as a shift...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

Excuse me? How is having two PCs with different OS “pissing up a rope”? I have provided a scan of a test chart from a reputable resource in the first post. You have asked for a “test image like this one”. I explained in detail how I printed the test image. Without any changes. The test chart...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

II already have. Multiple times. I used well known standard charts for both color and B/W. I did not change/manipulate them. I set the correct media type and printed it. I have Capture One, Affinity Photo and the official Epson Print Layout both on Mac and PC.

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

Okay, this thread has now an immense amount of information. Let me summarise: My prints come out with a distinct, heavy, blue tone. Not just a bit, but something you would definitely notice and probably be concerned about. This happened over night. I get these results from Epson Print Layout...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

Thanks for your continued support, I feel you are going out of your way to figure this out with me. Regarding toning for correction: I am reluctant to use color toning as a long-term solution, because it should not be necessary. I have taken that road for the time being, however. Regarding...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

Question for the pros: Let's face it, most likely I have a problem with one of the inks. As far as I could gather, ABW utilises PK, LK, LLK, VLM, LC and Y. I replaced the following inks since the problem started: LK, LLK, VLM If I had a faulty cartridge and replaced it, how long would it...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

True, my initial prints had a slight magenta cast depending on the paper I chose, but nothing too serious. The current prints do not have this magenta cast, it only appears that way due to the cheap flatbed scanner I used

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

I always had my suspicions regarding a blue color cast when I used the printer in color mode. I never confirmed it because the ABW provided good results for years. But on occasion I tried it and it always resulted in a slight blue color. Not as bad as it is now, though. But when compared side by...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

I checked the paper profiles (EPSON semigloss and luster) and they have not been modified according to the file details. I did not install a new printer driver and I don’t think I have it set to auto download. A driver update gone wrong is also out of question, because I get the same results on...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

I shook all cartridges multiple times a minimum of 1 minute, yes. I re-did the procedure for a third time now. All cartridges out, shake this time actually really shaking them. Not so much as to create foam, but not just gently back and forth. I shook them. ALL! Afterwards a head cleaning cycle...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

Sorry for not providing a proper scan in the first place, it was late at night ^^ I am due to have my first instalment and exhibition on Thursday and haven't printed my images yet. But I am not panicking yet. I have indeed shaken all cartridges multiple times now diligently but without...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

Thanks for the further suggestions. I printed and scanned a new nozzle check. Please Note: The nozzle check has been scanned with a standard office scanner. Colours may not be represented correct and the saturation is not right due to scanner but they do look similar to what I see with my eye...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

I printed out some color patches designed to mimic the ink set for the SC-P600. Even though I don't have QTR to guarantee I actually only printed the individual cartridges, it looked like all colours print beautifully, but the LK seemed a little bluish. So I renewed LK and LLK for good measure...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

Again, good thinking! I do not have a nozzle check pre-problem. However, I printed dozens of them over the last months and they look very familiar and unchanged, judging from my memory. I can also assure you that the difference between C and LC is similar to the difference between VM and VLM in...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

Indeed I did. I shook them gently but sufficiently, I would say. I also took them out yesterday and shook them one more time for good measure (all of them) before doing the cleaning cycle

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

Thanks for the suggestions. I enclosed one of the latest nozzle checks. Don't be confused, I printed another nozzle check on the opposite side of the paper which may show through as a shadow underneath. Let me know if a higher quality scan is required To answer the questions: I have not...

SC-P600 suddenly a blue color cast

Hello dear forum, I have been printing quite successfully with my Epson SC-P600 for the last 2-3 years. I almost exclusively print in advanced B&W mode. I use OEM cartridges. There was an issue with a clogged PK nozzle a few weeks back, which was fixed with repeated nozzle cleaning cycles over...
