In engineering speak, this would be referred to as the chassis. Not sure where you found the reference code but that essentially is the name. It's likely you wont find this part available from a part supplier as its not a consumable or service part, but you might find it on ebay or something...
I can't see people stopping their efforts in refilling anytime soon.
I think with the advent of the ecotank printers etc, we will see a new market for improved quality aftermarket inks, atleast I hope so.

Im reading that the USA Epson XP630 doesn't get along with refillable carts and I have to install a new chip every time I refill. Is this true? Is there some way around it?
As this DJ500 comes back to life slowly but surely, I'm eyeing different ink systems, the HP Cyan cart it came with is about a 1/4 full, its time to look at options.
At first I was pretty much sold on a CIS System but now i'm wondering.

On this machine the nozzle check is essentially built into the printhead alignment. Each color has its own printhead. It print grids of little squares, It then uses its built in image sensor to scan the grids, if it detects one of the printheads is not producing well it will automatically try...
