@Peter Morgan I hope you are right
Will I have to use a grey cartridge as well in my ip 8750 and if I do would I be better to use an original canon cartridge to prevent fading
Thanks for the update
I was thinking of trying permafix UV spray i was told it was good at preventing UV damage.
Don't know if anyone has tried it if they have and it isn't very good I will order another brand
Thanks for your reply
I am using a Canon ip8750 and ink from octoinkjet.
I am using canon glossy paper and ilford smooth glossy 290 gsm.
It is dye ink so any advice to stop fading would be appreciated.
I am a total newbie to this forum but find the information amazing but some of it goes over my head
Do you advise covering your prints some sort of spray or laminate them ??
If you do recommend a spray can you tell me which one works the best
Once the ink is out of the cartridge is it better to refill or leave them empty. I soon have my start up cartridges as spares and was wondering what to do with them
I see you said you would use any ink that fits through the noodles
I was told that using pigment ink in my canon ip8750 would damage the print head is this correct ??
@The Hat
My main reason for wanting to refill with canon original ink was so my images wouldn't fade do you think that is worth the expense of buying grey cartridges etc or would I be better to just use the octoinkjet ink that I got with my kit.
@The Hat
I was thinking of refilling the four cartridges with the canon ink then buying two original cartridge of grey and I think it black. I checked with canon and the ink is dye ink for the colours and pigment for the black so hopefully all will match ???
Here is the video link to the vacuum fill method.
http://www.octoink.co.uk/news/415
I chatted online with a canon representative from the USA and he thinks the refill ink will be the same the ink in the cartridges
I have just received my vacuum refill kit from octoinkjet if I thought that the original canon ink would work without any problems I would fill the cartridges i received with the kit with canon ink and keep the octo ink as a backup.
What do you think ???
Can I fill the four cartridges with canon ink and use two canon original cartridges for the other two colours.
That would still be cheaper than buying original cartridges.
@PeterBJ
