I'm pleased with the results.
As seen in the image, not all dye is 100% gone.
However, I was primarily concerned with ensuring the yellow
got to a completely clean state. I believe I succeeded.

Just to inform all of my progress on the matter, I received the empty carts today.
First one I grabbed was yellow.
I have tools and small enough screws to have removed the ball plug without incident
or damage to the fill hole.

my photography, and it ultimately will cost a pittance in the face of

My only scanner uses have been to make copies of documents
and DVD/disk covers, not film/slides or such, so I don't need
such higher quality output that a stand-alone provides.
So, are you saying that the 3rd-party cart chips are likely to render color...
So, I have a MG5320. I like it because it has a nice-quality scanner,
among other features. But the display threw up the dreaded
"Incorrect Printhead" error.
History:
Purchased new some years ago, around 6 years.
