Thanks George Some day I would like to switch over to a color laser printer but do not know which is the cheapest to refill. Do you own a color Laser printer yet? The 780 is too big for my small house so I may give it away on craigs list since it is in good condition.

I played $10 for the MP780 at the thrift store just hoping I could salvage the print head. The paper tray is missing so the 780 will probably go back to the thrift store.

Thanks George the instructions worked perfect. Looks like the 780 was not used much and was last used in 2010. It had Canon carts and the black pigment was almost solid on top of the inlet screen. Worked to unclog the head for a week but finally killed it. D = 012.9 LPT = 2010/04/23 Page All = 808

The iP4500 head in the US interchanges with the iP5300, MP810 and the MX850. I wonder what the difference is going to be in the UK? Hat will know.

It makes me wonder if when Canon rerouted the black pigment ink waste ink to the upper center of the printer if this is not shortening the life of print heads. The purge pumps are marginal at best when the two waste tubes empty straight down into the inkwell but the iP4500 pigment pump has to...
