I have been cleaning the stripe band but after rebuilding everything as soon as I switch on, there is 1/4 round of the paper roller turning and I get error 6000 on the screen (see attchment). I don't understand from where the problem could come from.
Any idea?

here we are I took everything out and clean everything with "the Pharmacist solution".
All the gear seems to work properly.
I do have a lot of doubt concerning the stripe band... I would like to try with a one in better condition.

I have been trying to clean up the time stripe band and on the right side (pad,motor etc...) I noticed there was some strange stain of very old colours... It didn't run away with Isopropinol solution... may it be a cause of wrong informations read by the sensor?
What do you think...
Oh that's very kind of you but in between,fortunatly I found at the recycling place in my neighbourhood, a bunge of OEM Canon 521/520 526/525 in good condition and I also do have a resetter. Thanks a lot for your post ;-)

The noise has never stopped... I cleaned the pad under the gear wich was totaly full of old colors...
Printing is very ok...noozle test is very sucessfull Print head is in very good shape.
I try to send you a small video of the action.

I cleaned the pads as "the hat" suggested and it seemed to be much better.
The print head is perfect and the nozzle test has been perfect. I cleaned the print head before I used the printer with the "Pharmacist" Method. The print head has been reacting in a perfect way.

It does sound like that but not that intensive.
It means I have to clean the purge unit... Hahaha... a lot of work... Disassembly everything... cleaning the pads etc...
Do I need to reprogram anything after or it works by itself?
Any possibility to send you a audio file??... I taped the sound before it stopped and get into stand by mode... you could hear this marvelous Music.... :ep:ep:lol::lol::(:(:(
I'm gonna try out your method. May be if the printer hasn't been used for a while the ink got dry at the top of the purge unit...

back again... did clean up the encode strip and the carriage wheel with pharmacist solution and got a lot of dirt away.

Put some solution on the pad again and the black ink one kept the ink on top of it like the color one (am I clear enough??o_O)

I cleaned already the timing strip and the carriage unit wheel with some distilled water... afraid that the pharmacist containing isopropyl alcohol could damage the timing strip.
I'm cleaning my MP620 and try to clean the purge unit with "pharmacyst solution".
and here it's what's happening...
the colour pad is keeping the solution and the black one is loosing...
Maybe a problem with a purge unit system?
Any idea??

Yes it was...
I hoped for a short while that's something will happened (I plugged the power in with the door open)... Like a reset or something like that... but in fact the B200 Error Message came back.
