It wasn't from China. It shipped from Illinois. https://www.bonanza.com/listings/Genuine-CANON-Printhead-QY6-0075-for-Pixma-iP5300-MP810-iP4500-MP610-MX850/900177739
Cartridges cost $100. Given that there is also the recurring 5010 error, even if there is another replacement print head...
Bought it about 3 1/2 months ago, a long time ago. Listing says refunds available for DOAs, but now is not exactly arrival. Also supposed to be thoroughly tested.
The MX850 has been disassembled and the pad has been retrieved and inserted properly. Thank you for the instructions, and sorry for the delayed reply. After assembly, the new print head was inserted, but the nozzle check is of unacceptable quality. Pigment black was partially burned away, and...
Canon offers the PIXMA TR150 and the TS202 as portable printers. Both use combined cartridges and disposable print heads. What's the smallest Canon printer that has individual ink tanks and separate print heads?
Whenever double sided printing is used, it starts to pull the paper back and then stops and flashes 3 times for Paper Jam error, then decides it has been resolved and pulls the paper in and out in small increments several times, then rips the paper distinctly to the side and jams, then the...
It’s a huge drop over a few days. Isn’t that more of a once per week thing? I wouldn’t be surprised if it was every day with this one, but once a week is typical.
Now the Pigment Black cartridge is only half filled. The black and cyan just drain over time, and those are not involved in mixing. Appears that cleaning may not be using so much, as it is instead slow draining.
What should be done with the newer cartridges (black, cyan, and magenta)? Continuing to use those colors could cause a B200 error and make it completely useless.
Is the Canon TS9120 less flimsy than the TS8320, especially the trays?
Thank you.
The printer was used for photos before 2010, but they faded quickly on the HP photo paper. Sometime around then it was placed in storage.
It was discovered a couple months ago. The black print head was completely sealed with a tiny bead of black caulking ink running along it. The yellow was less...
It’s not a gamble if Canon provides it, but they refuse to. Therefore, purchasing a Canon printer is a gamble, only that purchasing another brand like an HP is jumping off a bridge.
It’s not after switching cartridges or after printing pages, but before printing pages when inactive for just a few hours or more. When I can manage to avoid a cleaning cycle, the nozzle check is perfect except for the mixing.
When the cyan, black, and magenta cartridges were depleted, they were replaced with new genuine Canon cartridges. The yellow was the last to run out, and has not been replaced since it was out of stock.
I don’t have a new yellow cartridge, so nothing can be printed and mixing will not show...
I actually always recommend Canon every single time and will never buy anything else, because of how the other brands are worse and have DRM. However, it does suck having to recommend Canon models with calculator screens, no replacement parts after 5 years, flimsy trays that break off, and...
The Canon iP3000 runs obsessive compulsive cleaning cycles whenever used after even just a few hours of inactivity. Although some of the colors are mixing, cleaning is not the solution, and often those colors are not even being used at such times. Even nozzle checks trigger obsessive cleaning...
Our Canon PIXMA iP3000 manufactured in (likely June) 2004 was in a garage for 10 consecutive years before being removed recently and having the print head rinsed. All colors have been working for a while now, and all of the original cartridges were recently depleted except for the yellow, which...
Our Canon PIXMA MX850 had a B200 error. Canon has discontinued providing replacement parts, of course, because they want their products to be useless cinder blocks that don't even scan during errors. I installed a used replacement print head. It finally was able to fully turn on and copy, but...
Also, don't get HP. HP is the worst. They use aggressive DRM restrictions and set arbitrary cartridge expiration dates, cripple cartridges that are removed and reinserted, block aftermarket cartridges and refills, and inaccurately measure ink levels. HP OfficePrank 4655 document feeders smash...
Canon likes to ensure that all of their models have at least some major drawbacks. Why can't they have both refillable tanks and a decent LCD screen? Why can't they provide replacement parts for longer than 5 years? Why did they make their cartridges opaque and now have XL and XXL versions so...
