I've been using photoshop for over 10 years. I know the difference between paper size, canvas size and image size. I know you have to set the paper size in the printer driver first. I am just new to canon printers, I've only used Epson in the past so I didn't know if there was an option to...
I don't think you are getting what I am trying to say. I am not talking about the image being centered in the middle of the white area, I'm talking about the printable area being centered on the paper. Changing 4-2 or zero just moves the image around inside the white area. I attached another...
Forgive me if I'm using the wrong terminology here but this method only adjusts the position of the image inside of the frame, it does not adjust the position of the frame itself. I adjusted the scale to make showing how this only moves the image not the frame more visible. What I am calling...
I think it maybe margin settings in the printer driver causing the issue. The preview in photoshop even looks off center. If I use a custom paper size of 5x7 the preview looks centered. If I use default 5x7 built into the driver the preview and actual prints are off center. Is there a way to...
I am attempting to make prints with an even border around all 4 sides. The border on the top is coming out 1/16 of an inch too short, the bottem is 1/16th too large and the left and right margins are off by about 1mm (not as concerned). On a large print it's not soo noticeable but on 8x10 and...
I received my new pro10 a week ago and so far love it. What are some best practices to keep it running smoothly and prevent a clogged printhead? Should I leave it on 24/7 or press the power button to turn it off after use, I use it over wifi so the auto shutoff timer is disabled by the...
The deal is back. Canon has a current $250 rebate and the coupon code PRO10 still works at procam.com. I received the confirmation that my order was processed.
This is good to hear even though I was hoping you would have said get printer X because obviously it's the way too go. But you did help. ;)
This prints I make usually go behind glass, not UV or museum quality glass.
I live in the US and what is a good price to get the Pro-10? Current deals I...
My Epson XP-950 factory refurbished printer finally died on me so I need to get a replacement. I think I narrowed it down between the Canon Pro-10, Epson P400 and Epson ET-7750. Can I have advice which one would be best for me. Below is a list of priorities in order of importance. I know all...
Ok new info:
I can print documents with pictures from word and the test page from windows, but anytime I try to print pictures on any type of paper from LR, Windows Picture Viewer, Photoshop it "jams". I don't think it's a real jam I think there is some kind of paper sensor that is dirty...
Ok I have a weird problem. Every time I try to print from my computer the printer gives a paper jam error. If I press the cancel button then paper comes out. If I print a nozzle check from the printer itself it prints fine. I don't understand how it can gram paper from the tray and pint a...
The 2 profiles weren't created exactly the same so I don't know if it will give you the information you are looking for. I used the same meter but upgraded the version of the software used. I also included the Epson OEM profile.
And here is a test print I made with the Inkowl inks and profiled with the paper. I did not profile my scanner.
IRL, if you look at the gradient chart under the faces the Epson inks performed better. The middle green and LC abruptly cut off at the end while the Epson ink don't.
What I don't...
In this attached image, the top is InkOwl Fade Resistant ink profiled with the paper. The bottom half is the Epson 512 inks after I profiled the paper with the new inks.
Full disclosure I'm red/green color blind so the statements below are purely opinion.
IRL the LM/LC look almost spot on...
I'm just letting the sheet rest overnight. I have no proof backing why I do what I do, just figure I wait overnight before I put prints in albums to allow most of the solvent to dry so that's what I do for my profile prints.
The are not going to be scientific tests.
I profile my monitor and ink/paper combos with an xrite colormunki design.
The top of the attached image is printed with InkOwl fade resistant ink and was profiled with the paper. The bottom half of the print is still the same paper/ink profile applied...
