I have an Epson Pro 4000 and have been using refillable 220 ml cartridges. For my printer usage the 220 ml cartridges are too large, plus they extend out of the printer, inviting damage.
I have heard that the OEM 110 ml cartridges are refillable. Has anyone refilled the 110 ml cartridges? Are...
Omar,
A potential solution to your question is a wireless print server. Netgear (and possibly other manufacturers) does offer such a device. You place the wireless print server next to your printer and connect the printer via USB. Your computer communicates to the printer through your wifi...
I purchased an Epson R3000 a year ago and it came with regular full cartridges. You may wish to check with other suppliers. Previously some sales persons have misinformed me about a printer coming with starter cartridges, when it really had regular cartridges. One thing to be aware of is the...
Following are two pics of the Epson Workforce 840 with the maintenance tank removed:
This view is straight on showing the opening.
This view is up into the space occupied by the maintenance tank.
With the maintenance tank installed, there is a large opening below the tank measuring 3" wide...
I contacted a supplier of Epson printer parts, Compass Micro, about a replacement maintenance tank for my Workforce 840. Their response:
"This part would take 6-8 weeks to get from Epson. They have none in stock, and none on order. Below is the Epson part number, description, and the Epson list...
Thanks to Pharmacist's discovery, I did locate a maintenance tank on my Workforce 840. A separate message thread was started with detailed removal instructions.

Thanks to Pharmacist's discovery of a maintenance tank on a Workforce 7515, I took a close look at my Workforce 840 and discovered that it too has a maintenance tank. This procedure will probably work on Workforce models similar to the 840. Following are the easy steps to remove the tank...
Very interesting post, thanks. I have an Epson Workforce 840 and wonder if this printer also has an easily replaceable maintenance tank. When I have some free time I'll take a look.

Olga,
Regarding your question #1, this has been discussed previously on this forum. Just perform a search.
On your question #2, I do not recommend the system (CISS) that you saw, unless you are doing a lot of printing. CISS systems can be difficult to set up and operate. Plus it may require...
I have two Canon MX 870 printers (1 in service and 1 spare) and have been refilling using the German method. The MX 870 has been performing flawlessly and the cartridges have been easy to refill. A big advantage with these cartridges is a clear window on the tank side, which greatly simplifies...
Joseph,
You stated that you are using the 220/221 carts. I am using the German refill method with the same cartridges and so far have had no leakage issues with any of my carts. The 220/221 carts also have the advantage of a clear section so that you can easily see the ink levels. The German...
I also recently received the Jon Cone inks and carts for my Epson R3000. Filling of the carts was easy, following the instructions provided and the video on the Inkjet Mall web site. Right now my R3000 is printing out excellent photos and I could not be happier.

I just received a cartridge set and Jon Cone inks from Inkjet Mall for my Epson R3000. The cartridges were initially filled and primed by the vacuum method, per their instructions. I have not yet installed the cartridges in my printer. The issue is that on a few of the cartridges the damper...
This looks very promising. I have been waiting somewhat impatiently for a cheaper alternative to Epson inks for my R3000 printer. The initial priming method looks very messy. Jtoolman's vacuum alternative should be much better. I noticed Ross was using one of his cartridges along with Epson...
Damper cartridges are typically used on newer Epson printers. Instead of a sponge in the cartridge to regulate ink flow, it has two check valves in the ink channel. The check valves maintain the prime in the cartridge and regulate the ink flow.

I have an Epson 1400 using damper carts and dye inks from InkJetCarts. So far I am very pleased with this combination. Be prepared for it to take some time (a couple of days) for the printer to settle down after installing the carts. Once all the air is flushed out of the system it does...
I have a Cannon MX870 with CLI-221 and PGI-220 cartridges that I plan to refill with OCP ink. I will be using the German refill method per the excellent advice on this site. The OEM cartridges are freshly out of my printer and they have been capped, so there should not be any dried ink. I use...
