I did try the ink products method of filling the original Epson cartridges and had difficulty. The Epson cartridges have a one way valve that makes it difficult to inject ink into the cartridges. Instead I now use 100 ml third party cartridges for my Workforce Pro 4530 that were purchased...
Some limited experience on dye versus pigment ink: I have an Epson Pro 4000 that would experience clogs with pigment ink if I did not print something every other day. I flushed out the pigment and replaced with dye ink 6 months ago and have yet to experience any clogs, even with the printer...
The Photomerge Panorama and HDR functions in Lightroom are great and very fast. Both provide a quick preview so you can visualize what the final result will look like. A great feature is when the final result is being processed, you can perform other functions simultaneously in Lightroom. Also...
Your Epson 3880 has several shades of black ink, plus the driver has an excellent B & W printing function (ABW - Advanced Black & White). Start off by converting your photo to B & W using Photoshop, Lightroom, or the post processing software that you have. When setting up for printing, select...
Dan,
I recently converted an Epson Pro 4000 to dye inks from Cone. Result is great, with more saturated colors. I use a ColorMunki Photo to calibrate all papers used on this printer. Like you, I am not looking for long life prints. An added benefit has been no printer clogs on what previously...
I recommend staying with pigment inks for your Epson WF 3620. This printer will seldom experience clogs as long as it is used at least once every two weeks. I have a similar printer that was idle for a month with no problems. The Image Specialist inks provided by Precision Colors will work fine...
I just attempted to purchase this deal on the Canon website and received a message that the free extra packages are out of stock and would I like to purchase only one package. How can the free packages be out of stock and the purchased one be available? Checking further on Canon's website it...
I recommend www.inkjetcarts.us and www.precisioncolors.com for Epson compatible inks and cartridges. Both suppliers use Image Specialists inks, which are a very close match to Epson inks. Also both suppliers are very helpful if you have questions or problems.

I have an Epson Pro 4000 printer that will be in long term storage for a year or more. To prevent massive clogs, I plan to flush out all of the pigment ink. I have a set of empty refillable cartridges that can be used for the flushing fluid. I looked at Jon Cone's Piezoflush fluid, but the...
The Workforce 3540 printer should be relative free from head clogs. The new generation of Epson printers are much, much less likely to clog. I have an Epson Workforce 840 that has never experienced a clog, even when unused for three weeks at a time.

With all of the trouble that you have been experiencing, it sounds like the cartridges were not originally primed, or air is getting into the system. If you did prime the cartridges, then perhaps they have defective seals. Also it is a good idea to refill the cartridges before they are empty...
I have a Workforce 840 and are using Image Specialist inks and refillable cartridges from Precision Colors. This combination has been working for me without any problems for over a year now. My Workforce 840 is heavily used. Also I have installed on other printers, cartridges from InkJetCarts...
I just stuff my maintenance tank with folded paper towels. They are absorbent and will hold a significant amount of ink. Sometimes the simplest solutions are best.

I have been using Cone inks (Inkjetmall) for over a year in my Epson R3000, and am very satisfied. Cone inks are as good as if not better than Epson inks. I have had no problems, no clogs, in spite of infrequent use of my printer. The Cone cartridges do show remaining ink, just like Epson...
I have successfully refilled 110 ml OEM cartridges for my Epson 4000. The process was as follows:
1. Turn the cartridge with the output port facing down, insert a 60 ml syringe and draw out the remaining old ink.
2. Reset the chip on the cartridge using a chip resetter for Epson Pro printers...
cls,
Thanks for your detailed response. However, what I am looking for are refillable 110 ml cartridges, or the ability to easily refill Epson 110 ml cartridges. My Epson Pro 4000 printer is located in a high traffic area and because the 220 ml cartridges stick out of the printer, they are...
