The place to look is probably physical chemistry and properties of colloids in dilute solutions. Helpful if we knew the source of the yellow pigment- petroleum or othewise.

My thread started this- I merely asked if there might be a problem with residual OEM ink in the head (cli271) when switching to refillables.
Hot topic I guess. We're on pg 3 of dialog. Its kind of interesting that something happens at high dilutions and not before.
The TS series was introduced in Jan17. The TS9020 (6 color) was listed at $200. I got mine last week at Best buy for $114 .
The price is dropping rapidly since Cannon anmounced the TS9120 after only 6 months.

The cartridge contacts are in the head so I would presume so the cpu can probably read chip status anytime it cares to.
BTW on my TS9020 the head stays centered for as long as I care to keep the lid open.
Also, I can remove and replace any cartridge with no purge or clean.
I haven't used up...
Just got my pc refill inks for cli271 and new carts. Is there a problem with yellow mixing in the print head or not? I've been watching too many videos and forums lately.

I just exchange get emails with you today- just got my refill kit for my ts9020.
And just found this forum.
I'm gonna waste some ink this week to get into refilling and settle on a procedure. Topping up is the way to go I guess.
