Ahh... I see :) - well then I guess thats what I gotta do, I have seen guides showing how to change the print head and it seems like its not that difficult. I might return when I mess it up though!
The printer was already sold when I contacted the guy... I will just have to wait and see if any good printers come up I guess.
Otherwise I have to go for a new print head. is there any way to tell if its the print head or the logic assay board that @stratman mentioned earlier?
Exactly my thoughts regarding the ink! Fortunately I got a lot of ink with the pro-1 so I guess its not all bad. I will upload a nozzle check for you guys if/when I get a hold of the 9500 mk2 and make sure that I can return it in case something is wrong with the print head!
Once again, thank...
No worries, I'm just happy for all the help. Looking back I definitely should have checked for this stuff before buying the printer.
Yea I kind of get that soaking the print head will not work. Its a nice thought and all but I guess its not really realistic.
A cheap 9500 Mark II (cheaper than...
I see! I only looked out for horizontal streaks :(
Hm... I will probably try that, just for the sake of it. Thanks a lot for the advice!
I have contacted the guy I bought it from, hopefully we can figure something out.
To my knowledge new printheads for the pro-1 are almost impossible to...
Also I did print the test photos from earlier. In hindsight that might not have been the greatest decision, but I guess I might just as well post the results. Same paper, this time matte. First one using a photo profile second one using "plain paper" profile. The two close-ups are of the photo...
I will try and talk to the guy I bought it from, but most likely I will have to be looking out for a new print head I guess...
Anyway thanks alot, its not the answer I was hoping for but I am still grateful for the help!
Not sure what you are implying but I didn't ignore anything. I did a couple of test prints trying to figure out what the problem was. Mind you that I bought the printer used and it has never produced a good print after I got it. I printed a total of one photo 10x15cm after I made this forum post...
I also took this photo of two of my prints. Same paper but the left is using a profile for photo paper and the right one is using a standard profile for common printer paper.
The banding is slightly different than my original upload, this is simply due to a change in the size of the print. Same...
Just tried the "prevent paper abrasion" and "matte photo paper" profile. and the issue persists :/
Seems like its not just glossy/semi glossy paper profiles but also profiles for matte paper. So basically any profiles for photo paper...
Gotcha - I will upload a photo when the light conditions improve!
> A few of Cannons standard profiles (photo pro luster, photo paper pro platinium, photo paper pro semi gloss),
> "other fine art paper" (1 or 2, I can't remember),
> Sihl Masterclass Lustre Photo Paper 300gsm...
I have printed a nozzle check. I can post it tomorrow when I have daylight to help me out - I don't own a scanner so I have to take a photo :)
Its not that I am unwilling to print/photograph a nozzle check but I feel that I once again must underline that this problem only occurs when using...
Seeing as the issue occurs with both the original Cannon profiles and 3'rd party manufacturers profiles (using Tecco and Sihl paper) it could be a problem with the software utilization of photo paper profiles specifically and not the profiles themselves?
Hi Stratman.
First of, thank you for your reply and your initial advice!
I have printed multiple nozzle checks and as far as I can tell they all came out fine - nice and solid colors. I can print out a new one and post a picture (?), but I don't think you will be able to see much, as I...
Hi. So I'm having an issue with banding on my print. The degree of visible banding are dependent on the picture and on the size of paper used.
I noted that the problem only occours when using a profile for glossy or semi-glossy paper however the banding are consistenly wrong (exact same...
