Thanks @stratman for the investigative work!!!! AND the product catalogue
I went ahead and ordered from the store @Arthur5 recommended. I mean I hope I did because there is no site with the DE extension but the COM one is located in Germany.....At least the description was very clear on the...
Thank you for the clarification. I guess Inktek should have a product page that at least you could see each individual ink they are selling. Not scouring the web in order to get the relevant info
After I saw the comment by @stratman I looked closely to the description in the Octopus Inktec pages for the PGI-1500
(Since I am not sure if I can link directly to them I will refrain from doing so).
Only in the black ink do they clearly state that it is pigmented. Every other color does not...
After reading all of the 40 pages about the Maxify 5350 I noticed the following post
Which made me suspicious of the ink type used in the Inktec inks. Only the black ink is pigmented. All other colors are dye (just as the Canon GI-490 inks).
@TheHat claimed that he used some HP (pigmented?)...
Octopus-office.de has both the inktec and the Octopus-fluids inks (probably their inhouse in nks). Which ones were you using? As for C and Y which ones are you using now? Thanks
So if I understand correctly even a dye ink if very viscous ("thicker") can lead to ink starvation and subsequently head damage.
Greater flow can lead to? Ink stains maybe but no head damage?
But is it possible for a dye ink to be more viscous than a pigment ink? I would expect the opposite to...
Hi, new to this subsection (I usually own EPSON printers), I have recently purchased an MB-2150 Maxify printer.
According to popular knowledge this printer uses pigmented inks (all of them). I was wondering whether I could use the Canon GI-490 inks to refill the PGI-1500XL cartridges.
I know...
Prusa (unlike Creality) does help the RepRap Project and their designs are open for everyone. You can get a CR-10 for half the price but by the time you have finished exchanging/updrading parts to Prusa like quality the price gap will have shrinked enormously. So the remaining price differential...
Hi,
I recently printed some B&W pages and the black ink cartridge (refillable) run out during printing...The printer had printed about 10 pages with faint print and bands before I found out what was going on. Refilled the cartridge pulled with the syringe some ink from the bottom cartridge to...
Hi, I had the exact same thing happen to me when I bought "thick" paper from a local warehouse. It is the paper and the lack of coating....You CAN probably make use of your paper by doing a combination of the following things.
DO NOT print in best/very best settings (photo/photo RPM) (I believe...
For the slanted lines I think fast printing maybe the culprit. For the smearing maybe it has to do with the feeding mechanism and the distance between printhead and paper. Is the paper too "thin"?
Does the smearing occur in the same spot between different pages?
I do not know what kind are mine (priming or not) but I know that I had left my 1500W for 20days maybe more and afterwards I just opened the printer up and the nozzle check came up excellent. I can take a pic if you want....
Its my RX520 :(
I was away from home and my wife was operating the printer as a copier. Someday she called me and said that for the past 2 days prints have been coming out reddish cast in them. Why women call looong after a problem appears is a mystery to me but is a subject for another forum...
I am having a problem with a stubborn clog. I have tried removing the cartridge reinstalling it, re priming the printer, performing 3 cleaning cycles (not one after the other, cleaning the parking/cleaning sponges with windex). I also tried printing whole color pages from just this one color...
I think there is an option in the windows printer properties to print directly to the printer without any spooling. Can you try this and report back the results? What is your CPU usage during printing? One more thing to see if the problem is windows (software) or hardware related is try the...
Yeah that was the default option in the software! Later realized that was the reason I could not select the profiles directly from the Epson printer driver as well. Is there any difference between V2 and V4 (wider gamut, more accuracy etc). But I must say....printing photos in A3+ or panoramas...
OK as promised here are my profiles for the 1500w for the Epson Premium Glossy Paper and the Cheaper Media Range (with the L800 inks). Also for comparison is included the RX520 profile for the Epson Premium Glossy again with the same inks and the WF-3540 profile for the Epson Premium Glossy with...
Very nice. Thnx for the follow up...and glad it is working out. Was hooking up all the hardware to the new mainboard straightforward (apart from the revised connector for what exactly?). What about the feed sensor....is it not needed anymore?
