I have a Pro 100 and use Precision colors ink. I am having continual clogs with light grey. My problems started after doing about 80 5 x 7 prints on rag paper. I have cleaned the print head a number of times but that only seems to help for a very short time. I would appreciate any suggestions.

My carriage is stuck on an old Pro 100. I am trying to get the printhead out to see if it is still good but I am unable to move the carriage manually or otherwise. The light flashes orange 15 times which indicates missing or damaged ink cartridge but I'm just trying to move the carrier to get...
I realize this is a month and a half late but I just ran into this problem again yesterday. Last time I had to buy a replacement contact for my light cyan cartridge but this time I just had to clean it off and it is being recognized and printing again. Hope you were able to get yours running.
Sorry for your troubles but glad you could take it in stride, learn from it and get it working again. Makes me feel not so bad about my errors knowing that even a seasoned pro sometimes "messes up" to use your words. :old
Very impressive. It must take a lot of patience to work in that much detail. I fear I would become frustrated and it would not be pretty. Great talent!
Yes - thank-you Hat. I did it this way the first time. I guess I am used to refilling my PianoBook and never having to reset anything so I'm struggling to understand the concept of the resetter. I don't understand how the printer knows that I have topped off (added more ink) if the cart has not...
No side by side comparison but I have had the Epson 710 and 810 and have loved them both. I would recommend the 837. LJH.ent has a CISS or refillables for it.
I should know the answer to this but I don't. Do I need to use the chip resetter if I have not gotten any message from the printer yet saying that the ink is either low or out? If not, then would it make sense to just top off all my carts with ink on a regular basis and never bother with getting...
As stated above - at least in the US you can find Pro 100's for $150.00 - $200.00. People get them free with their cameras and have no interest in them so they sell them on craigslist or E-bay new/unopened. I see three or four right now under $200.00 in Indy area.
If you bought the 4630...
Thank-you for the compliments. My brother actually suggested the formatting - so I can't take credit for that. He is a professional photographer and when I showed him the photo he suggested cropping it. I agree that it adds greatly to the final outcome.
I took this the end of Fall 2015 I think. Just did a little more editing in Lightroom. I make notecards with it and also did a print for my mom for Christmas. It's probably one of my favorite shots.
For my Epson I use Piano Book CISS.
For Canon Pro 100 I use Precision Colors Refillable OEM. I think I've got that right. I took the chip off my original cart and put it on their cart.
