Happy New Year!
As a gift from Canon this Error message suddenly appeared. It tells you to take the printer for repair but doesn't say what the problem is. Does anyone know and if so, can it be fixed?
Are Canon Printers programmed to self destruct in two years?
I got it in October and I connected it to my iPad wirelessly without a problem using the app from Canon. But suddenly a week ago it stopped connecting. It also connected wirelessly to my laptop running Ubuntu and that also stopped. I get the message 'the printer is not connected' I have tried...
The MG range may be good but mine, the MG 3650 has stopped connecting via wireless and I can't figure out how to fix it because I can't connect to my iPad.
Hello again everyone,
After a while of trouble free printing, my above printer has stopped communicating with my iPad. I would like to do a hard reset and set it up from the beginning. Does anyone know how?
Apostolos, since I am also in Greece I can assure you that if Canon Service i.e. Intersys see any non OEM cartridges, then forget your warranty. I once sent my under warranty printer to them, having first removed the cartridges because it went by courier, and the first phone call from them was '...
So far, so good! The problem starts when you get the message "Ink Absorber Full. Contact Service" and everything stops working. Then you can reset the counter, because replacing the absorber is not an easy task.

I use my printer for printing lesson related material for my teaching job, knitting patterns, online booked plane tickets, articles, and so on. I am printing...

Speaking of ink.....

OEM cartridges...
As one of the hmmm, older generation, I prefer to look at printed photos and even, gasp, to keep them in an album. We have just bought a new turntable to listen to all our vinyl, too.
In my fruitless search for Service Tools before finding this forum I discovered some awful junk attached to every download, mainly those browser hijackers that are a bugger to get rid of (ask me how I know this :-))
Yes, you are right!
And I haven't worked out yet why no one in this country ever identifies who they are when they answer the phone. Whoever you call, from the Town Hall to Canon Service, they pick up the phone and say 'ναι' = 'yes' in a totally bored voice so you always have to ask who they are.
Well, you are right of course and I didn't read the small print - I think you are the only one who has....but how do they know what ink you have been using if you take it out before you send it to them? Or put some originals back in...
