My daughter, who works in a doctors office asked me if I knew anyone who would take some old printers her office had collected over the last 2 years. She had a Canon color laser and an HP color laser
and a Epson CX3810 AIO. I told her that I's take the Epson and see if I could get it to work...
For those of you that have this problem with Canon printers. My MP640 produces lines on TY glossy DVDs. It IS NOT because they are thicker. I found this out by measuring the thickness of the TY watershield disc and a regular disk with a glossy sticky label applied to it. The glossy sticky...
If this printer is going to be used for only text pages and not photo printing I'd suggest you buy one of the low price laser printers offered by
Brother or Samsung. They can often be found for only $59 on sale at Office Depot or Staples. Compatible toner cartridges can be bought on the
web...
Not knowing what software you have or what printer you use I'll offer a universal solution. First, don't use Word, use any type of photo application (Photoshop, paint, etc.) .
Place your text in the bottom right hand corner of the page and save as a jpg. Assuming that your printer can print...
I've had extremely good service from http://www.precisioncolors.com, he stands behind his ink! Another that I've read is good is http://www.octoink.co.uk/
They both sell Image Specialists ink which is of high quality.
Pigment black ink is ONLY for the large black cart. If used in the small photo black cart it will clog the printhead. the Photo black cart uses dye based ink only.
If it were me I would check at local office supply shops or better still, a shop that does refilling and ask if they have any for sale. If none can be found I would wrap the cartridge with White Teflon Tape that plumbers use to seal pipe threads and place in a plastic bag until orange clips...
The 2 new empty carts arrived a day early in the mail. I must say that inkjetcarts website and ordering experience was one of the most pleasant that I can remember. After ordering they send a confirmation email, then after shipment they send a ship email with a link to track your order through...
Emerald & Pano,
Rest assured I will report back on how the carts do. I refilled for years using the top-fill method, until this current printer, which is when I switched to the German method. Since these new carts will already have the top holes and plugs I'll probably top-fill them. I doubt...
Thanks for the suggestions but I'm really set on trying some 3rd party carts. To be truthful, I'm almost ready to switch to Epson and get a CIS system.
I've got several sets of Canon OEM carts that I refill and rotate but I'm getting tired of having to squint to see through the small clear strip on the 221 carts. So I've decided to get a few 3rd party carts that are the see-thru variety. I'd like to have the opinion of the experts on this...
I too, am having problems with my 221 yellow cart. Every time I print I find I have to run a deep cleaning cycle for the yellow to flow. I removed the yellow cart and noticed that there are pieces of something floating in the ink chamber. I replaced the bad cart with one that was not...
I've found over the years that the quickest way to dry a printhead is to blast it with about 100 lbs of compressed air. It goes from soaking wet to perfectly dry in about 30 seconds.
I've done this time and time again without any problems.
To my knowledge no one makes a chip resetter for these carts. That might pose a problem for you if you refilled your own. The refilled carts I purchased from Abacus came with new chips installed, so obviously
they must be available from somewhere. although I've never seen them myself.
I had no trouble at all. These were remanufactured carts that apparently had new chips installed. I have no idea what type of ink they used. they installed and
worked as good as the OEM carts. Color was almost dead on compared to the OEMS
I used to own the same printer and before I started to refil carts I bought remanufactured carts from http://private.abacus24-7.com/search.aspx?SearchTerm=hp+02&x=0&y=0
Pricing was less than $5 per cart with free shipping and I never had any problems whatsoever with these refills. Color match...
