Hello, I am from India... Ever since canon launched new printers with oem ciss, Canon G1000 for example, they have also launched canon ink bottles in the market to refill these printers.
I guess the CMY inks are dye and the Black is Pigment. There is no dye Black. I was wondering if I could use...
By the way, is there any hope for the printhead ??? Please take a look at this nozzle check pattern. Is this printhead recoverable... any suggestions ?
@berttheghost
Thanks for the reply... As you said it was indeed a purge unit problem initially. After that it became the carriage problem because of the canon personnel. And finally a printhead problem due to my aggressive cleaning methods :(
Some useful lessons I learnt during all this ... thought I must share...
1) Never ever use 'force' of any kind and aggression for cleaning the printhead...
2) Not always the printhead is the culprit...
3) Be broad minded when you come accross any complex mechanism like a printer... :)
4) Be...
Guys ... the problem has been solved... technically...... I thought it might be useful info that I am about to post...
I had the purge unit replaced by canon service a few days back. The grinding noise was gone. But I noticed that the purge pads were of different size than on the previous...
Yes martin0reg, that might be the case...
Some time before in the evening I tried spraying some hot water onto the nozzles. I repeated this several times for 10 mins. After that I printed a nozzle check pattern which showed some improvement in the cyan and magenta as well. But the issue wasn't...
Thanks for the quick reply fotofreek... I have done cleaning cycles right after printhead cleaning... As far as head alignment is concerned I cannot do a manual or auto alignment as the light shades of cyan do not print...
This is the image of today's nozzle check pattern...
Please take a closer look at the second line of CYAN and third line of MAGENTA... its printing but spread out in random directions...
I am from Mumai, India. I have a Canon MG5370 (equivalent to MG5320, MG5350 - correct me if I am wrong). It was printing good a few days back. Although it was making some creaking/squeaky noise before initialization or before first print and while shutting down and turning on, I was pretty sure...
A necessary Update here... Printer is printing at its normal pace now... ( I have not reset the cartridges yet, resetter is on the way ). Its ridiculous, I guess it was only a matter of some prints. The printer was behaving weird during that period. Anyways, I m gonna reset them as soon as i get...
Thanks for the Cartridge no. Info. I will search for the said windowed cartridges... It will definitely make my printing and refilling life simple... =D
Thanks peterBJ. It was a relief to know that Ink monitor will be in action again after resetting. These opaque cartridges are very difficult to keep track of.
I am experiencing a very strange problem with my canon MG5370. As I got the 'low on ink' message for magenta, I refilled my CLI-726M cartridge with my all new OCP ink... It was printing smoothly. Then after some days it gave me a "Replace ink tank" message for the same. I knew that I have...
Hi guys... I had the exact same problem with my HP Officejet 6000 Printer (Magenta ink). Later the Printhead died, I bought a new one and surprisingly the same problem, with the very same ink and that too on the very first day of my new printhead...
After that I turned suspicious about the...
