The strangest thing is that even with the old inks I could never see any gloss differential or bronzing on Kodak Metallic paper & it's super glossy yet It had quite a bit on Canon Luster paper. The new inks are really good now on the Luster.
No mine was just thin & thick whitish lines in the red that would change with every clean but would not disappear until I did what we should never do & that was just print some A4 solid red pages. It cleared itself & has been fine for over 6 months until I got the B200 but I only did this...
I just finished printing a 13x19 print when I got a B200 warning telling me to turn off my printer & go into panic mode. I did a search here & watched a few Youtube vids & it seemed as though I had an electrical problem in the printer or it needed a new head.
Lucky for me I had a new head I...
My friend in Perth in Western Oz ended up buying the Pro10s & is loving it. He found Joe's (Jose) You Tube vids on his own & he will be getting his inks from Precision Colors.
So thanks to everyone here for your help last year & a Happy New Year to all of you:-)
Thanks for that Mike that makes everything a lot clearer. I sent my mate the links to your Pro 10 inkset page & he's very impressed with all the information there & he likes your prices too so my bet is he will be getting the Pro 10 & if my mate has any sense you will be getting a new costumer...
Thanks again Taskmon & Fingers:-) And thanks JD:-) Yes I buy my inks from Precision Colors & the shipped prices seem quite good compared to buying ink down here in Oz. I buy my paper from B&H in New York & the price including postage for a box of 50 A3+ size is about the same as the price for a...
Thanks Philippa, Fingers & Taskmon:-) I've been out of the loop for a while & the pro10 didn't seem to have quality aftermarket inks so it's good to know they are available now. My mate will be just doing A3+ prints for himself & the family but I imagine all three printers will produce great...
Gday everyone. An old friend (yes he's older than me) He lives in Perth about 4500klms from me & he emailed me that he wants to buy an A3= printer. The three names he gave me are the Canon Pixma pro 10s, the Pixma pro 1 & an Epson Epsom surecolor sc-p600.
He only just started refilling his old...
I have in the past changed papers a lot so I can't say for sure the ones under glass are different papers to the ones I've seen fade. Normally all my prints are behind glass but I do have some mat mounted prints just sitting on a shelf in the computer/printing room & that's where I see the...
I have had unprotected prints using IS dye inks fade in just over a month from my Pro9000 but I've had about six prints from the Pro9000 with the same IS inks behind glass still looking great after being on the wall for over six years.
With the Pro9500 fading is not an issue for me.
My red channel had a very similar nozzle check to yours Hat & my twice cleaned head did not improve it. Because I have a new head coming & wanted to flush some of my new formulation inks through the carts to make sure they are working right before putting them in the new head I printed up about...
I had a look at Mikes link & it does explain a lot, thanks Mike. I have printed up quite a few A3+ shots to test out the carts with my old head as I didn't want to risk the new head when it gets here & everything seems to fine. One really good strange happened is my blocked red now gives a good...
Yes monitors are set to be quite bright so your prints will look darker than the screen. When you are in Photoshop just go to the Levels tool & click Auto, that should then print at the right brightness if the shot is exposed well in the camera.
