Nick, I use a Colormunki Photo to make my own profiles. I haven't really compared the blacks from the pro9000 to the pro9500 but the consensus was that the dye inks in the pro9000 have a bit more pop. I do enjoy making B&W prints with the pro9500 they look very good to my eyes.
Gday everyone hope you have all been well.
I think my Pro9500 has an electrical problem, at first I thought is was just a clogged printhead but with this nozzle check it looks too uniform to be the printhead a.
Has anyone seen a nozzle check like this?
I've put some lube everywhere I had the red arrows above & there's still some squeaking. Might do it again next week. The squeak seems worse when printing A4 rear feed but with A3+ I only hear the squeak when the print has finished & the print is being ejected.
Thanks The Hat:-) I bit the bullet yesterday & got the top off. It seemed really daunting but following the instructions it came off easier than I thought.
I've marked where I think I might lube which is anywhere there seems to be a bearing, like where rollers are supported by the body.
Can you...
Thanks Peter & thanks for links:-) While looking at the lubes you suggested I came across this product, Anti friction dry ptfe. It dries within 1 min & does not attract dust.

I wonder if this is worth a try if not I will order some Molycote...
Thanks The Hat & Peter I thought anyone could click in the black square where it ses "watch on Facebook learn more", that's a bugger a. I have zipped the move & will try to post it in this post, fingers crossed. The zipped movie is added as an attachment so I hope that works,
Gday all. This morning I printed out our elecric bill & heard this squeek when the paper was being ejected from the printer after being printed. I set the printer to print some more pages & got my camera & I noticed the squeek was there this time almost every time the paper advanced.
Does anyone...
Blimey $1 a sheet! I would love to pay as little as that as I have to pay about $2 to $3 a sheet for quality paper shipped down here from B&H in NY.
Mind you my main hobby is photography so the cost of $3 for paper to hang on my wall is peanuts.
Red River have a good reputation for cheaper...
I read years ago that the Canon Fine Art papers were sourced from Hahnemuhle. Because my prints go behind glass I am now using Canon Pro Luster & it prints up really well.
Yes report back it will be interesting to see your results & the comparison to your Epson 3880 prints.
Gday Rich. When I bought my Pr09500 pigment printer it came with some photo papers & one of them was Canon Fine Art Smooth & it gave excellent prints. I then tried out the Canon Fine art Natural 100% cotton paper just like the fine art smooth. The fine art natural is 230gsm which I found thick...
Thanks Emu mate:-) I keep popping in but because my printers are getting old like me I can't interact with all the posts about the newer printers without looking silly.
Maybe we could have a nostalgia thread about Pro9000 & Pro 9500 printers:-)
As a bit of a dummy I sort of thought brighter looking & more colours in the patches would equate to some improved difference & hopefully someone like Jose might have a more critical look.
I stopped glopping when the new improved inks came out from Precision Colors that minimized the bronzing &...
My colormunki software got updated to driver version 1.2.4. The first set of colour patches looked much the same as the original driver but the second set of colour patches looks a lot brighter with added colours of reds & purple that I haven't seen before.
I've only printed out 3 shots so far...
