I used to print on Canon fine art matt papers on my pro9500 & they used to lose paper dust a particles which got into the rollers etc causing them to squeak but I never saw any dust etc on the cartridges. This never as far as I know affected the print head so I don't think you should clean your...
Thanks the Hat:-) I sort of thought it was good news because I love B&W prints which means I can still use the printer. Yes the Pro9500 has been a great printer.
Just a little update with my Pro9500 head electrical fault. I tried 3 or four different B&W prints which I have printed originals from before the head problem to compare them with & all three prints look as good as the originals. I did two prints of each, one using the black only & the other...
I will try a few things out with the Pro9500 before buying a new printer. (if I can talk the missus into it:-). As Keith said the ProGraf 300 would be a very good printer but as I don't sell any prints I couldn't afford to buy Canon inks & have got great results from the Precision Colors inks...
Since my pro9500 head problem I've started looking around for the Pro10s & to my surprise it was unavailable at a couple of places which recommended the newer ImagePrograf Pro-300 for around $1000au.
The cheapest price for the Pro10s is $729au, must be a run out price as it's normally more than...
Thanks turbguy, The Hat & palombian:-) No turb I haven't used the quiet or night modes. Good to know I can use it for B&W at least. I will try a new cart & see if a miracle is in my future:-)
Thanks mates.
Looks like I have an electrical problem going by this nozzle check a, problems with the PC & PM. Are there any things to try or has it had it? I cleaned all the contacts with isopropyl but no change in the printout.
Hope you are all staying well:)
My two printers are coming to the end of their lives, a pro9000 my wife is using even though one colour has some lines on the nozzle check & my pro9500 which is still going great because my knight in shining armour The Hat sent me a replacement head but after this head goes it's for the bin.
It...
Thanks The Hat, PeterBJ, Arthur & Stratman:-) I will change the 3 batteries in the resetter as that seems the logical culprit. That link was very helpful Peter thanks:-)
The pro9000 is running now thanks to you lot:-) I cleaned the purge pads & took the resetter apart which has 3 small LR 41 batteries. I checked the voltage as 1.26v on the one cell I removed & it should be 1.5v, is this OK? Yesterday the missus had her laptop in the other room when I was trying...
Thanks The Hat, Arthur (all the carts are lit up red), PeterBJ & Stratman:-)
I will clean the purge unit, put a new battery in the resetter & change the carts around to see if that tells me something.
Great advice as usual, thanks again:-)
Had some trouble with a couple of carts not lighting up red after refilling. I've had this happen a few times but after wiggling the carts they stay lit up & work fine. One cart was showing up as empty so I replaced all the carts with full ones & now I keep getting the 4 yellow warning lights &...
