I've been nosing around looking for a second Canon Pro 9500 Mark II and I found one. The issue with this printer is the length of time since its last print job... 7 years! How long can you let a print head just sit there with the cartridges installed and still have a reasonable expectation on...
If your plug is hard to push in, I found the below article helpful if you have numbered drill bits.

I plan on using it. :) I was reading a thread the other day concerning the use of Chroma Optimizer and the 9500. Now that I know that these printers can be acquired rather inexpensively, I'm considering getting a dedicated printer just for applying the Chroma Optimizer.
This forum really has me...
I ran an ink quality maintenance followed by a nozzle check and things are looking much better today. :)
What is with the "GY" 2 bars? It looks to have a green tint?
Having an issue with getting a good nozzle check. Notice on the "C" channel that it looks like the top 20% is missing. I ran 2 cleaning cycles and 1 deep cleaning cycle so far.
Well... I did it. I got the 9500 Mark II. It came with a full set in the printer (well almost full) and an extra full set of OEM carts along with a few stray full carts. It was a nice exchange, they kept all the "extras" like the setup cd and manual so this really helped getting it up and...
@milking In the Signature Editions inks, are there any shared colors for the pro 1 and pro 10. If so, I will want to buy larger quantities of those inks.
I have a color munki so a custom profile would not be a problem. However, its sounds like I should get the Signature Edition ink for the Pro 10 (since that is the ink I need) and to use up the ink I have now for the Pro 1.
Hi Guys,
I'm getting ready to switch over to the new Signature Edition inks for my Pro 1 but I have quite a bit of the regular (for lack of a better word) ink left over. Can I use these inks in my Pro 10?
I just picked up a used Canon Pro 10 last weekend and the gal that I bought it from said she only printed 5 images. The disturbing part, like milking, the printer hasn't been used in 6 months. Got it home, printed a nozzle check... perfect!
Someone living in the same town is selling a Canon 9500 MK II really cheap and I would like to give it a new home. I currently have the Canon Pro 10 that I'm very happy with (along with a Pro 1 and Pro 100) and the "Wife Acceptance Factor" for this new printer would be very low at this time...
