Reliable Chip resetters for Canon CLI-8 ?

@highmedowhicker, where are you located? The one I bought HERE is still going strong. @jamesl, I can't help you with your cartridge issue, but to post a new topic, click the Post New Topic link when looking at the forum index rather than Post Reply in a thread.

I agree with The Hat, you're fine. Mine did that too after purging. So top fillers are lazy? I take offense. :)

    DVD printing

@mowerman, when was the last time you purchased your TY Watershield discs? I've noticed that in the last couple batches I bought, the surface material appears to be thinner than they used to be. They must have changed their manufacturing process to make the printable surface material thinner...

any feel for what a new canon IP4500 is worth ??

Here's one listed on craigslist for $50, brand new in box: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/sys/2298164343.html I have two out in the garage so I'll resist buying another. I know it's easy to crack them to enable the CD/DVD printing, but a Canadian version would fetch more. I bought my first...

Memjet getting closer to market...this will change everything.

We'll see. From the last paragraph of the article dated April 21 linked below: http://www.action-intell.com/2011/04/21/with-help-from-memjet-lomond-looks-to-enter-printer-market/ Like you said, though, believe it when we see it.

Memjet getting closer to market...this will change everything.

According to this April 14, 2011 press release, it looks like the Memjet is finally going to hit the market, albeit in Russia. http://www.memjet.com/news-chatter/view/memjet-partner-lomond-brings-worlds-fastest-office-color-printer-to-russia/ And a brief view of it in this video...

Using custom ICC profile (Canon MX870)

Using my IP4500 Properties as an example, in the Main tab, Color/Intensity section, change it to Manual and click on Set. There is a Color Correction section where you should be able to select your ICC profile. Something like that.

Using custom ICC profile (Canon MX870)

I'll take a stab seeing as I recently purchased Profile Prism (even though I haven't created a Plain Paper profile. 1) What application are you using to print and is it ICC aware? 2) From what I understand, the Canon driver doesn't use ICC profiles (at least my iP4500 doesn't).

Picture of 2 oz. squeeze bottles with needles.

You don't have to be in the EU... they ship to the US too. I bought them and are very happy with them. One thing I like it that, even though you can tell the ink color in the bottle, the bottle caps are colored (red, yellow, blue, black and green). I use the green capped bottle for the pigment ink.

HowTo? Leak test to confirm refill ready to use?

Brilliant!!! While I've never had a problem doing it afterward, I never considered resetting before refilling. That would be just too easy.

    wireless print server for IP4500

Do you have a wireless router that your PC is connected to (either wired or wireless). I have a desktop PC with a iP4500 and share it out for our laptop to use wirelessly. Depending on your home network set up, you may not need an additional device.

    iP4200: Blurred prints

That's my question too. It could be that the scan resolution was too low or just a bad scan altogether.

"Profile Prism" work ok? Uses scanner rather than spectrocolorimeter?

Thanks for the reassuring note, but I guess the concern I have is that in step 5 of the Printer Profiling steps, it says to "Print the "printer-target-40.tif" file at its original size (approx. 7.92 x 5.77 inches)". Since the DVD is smaller than that and has a hole in the middle, can PP create a...

"Profile Prism" work ok? Uses scanner rather than spectrocolorimeter?

I just posted a question over at Mike's Profile Prism forum asking if I'll be able to create a good profile using Profile Prism for Taiyo-Yuden (now JVC) WaterShield DVD discs ==> HERE. I thought I would post here to help generate "traffic" to it or possibly get a reply here as this forum has...

@aaron, take a look on craigslist. You might find one in your area for cheap, possibly even brand new. There's one or two listed in my area almost all the time (4 active listings right now).

For those who use resetters for the CLI220/221 carts, where to buy?

Not that resetter, but the CLI-8 version from that seller over a year ago, still going strong. As iP4XXX mentioned, mapsy is a member here.
