@highmedowhicker, where are you located? The one I bought HERE is still going strong.
@jamesl, I can't help you with your cartridge issue, but to post a new topic, click the Post New Topic link when looking at the forum index rather than Post Reply in a thread.
@mowerman, when was the last time you purchased your TY Watershield discs? I've noticed that in the last couple batches I bought, the surface material appears to be thinner than they used to be. They must have changed their manufacturing process to make the printable surface material thinner...
Here's one listed on craigslist for $50, brand new in box: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/sys/2298164343.html
I have two out in the garage so I'll resist buying another.
I know it's easy to crack them to enable the CD/DVD printing, but a Canadian version would fetch more. I bought my first...
We'll see.
From the last paragraph of the article dated April 21 linked below:

Like you said, though, believe it when we see it.

And a brief view of it in this video...
Using my IP4500 Properties as an example, in the Main tab, Color/Intensity section, change it to Manual and click on Set. There is a Color Correction section where you should be able to select your ICC profile. Something like that.
I'll take a stab seeing as I recently purchased Profile Prism (even though I haven't created a Plain Paper profile.

2) From what I understand, the Canon driver doesn't use ICC profiles (at least my iP4500 doesn't).
You don't have to be in the EU... they ship to the US too. I bought them and are very happy with them. One thing I like it that, even though you can tell the ink color in the bottle, the bottle caps are colored (red, yellow, blue, black and green). I use the green capped bottle for the pigment ink.
Do you have a wireless router that your PC is connected to (either wired or wireless). I have a desktop PC with a iP4500 and share it out for our laptop to use wirelessly.
Depending on your home network set up, you may not need an additional device.
Thanks for the reassuring note, but I guess the concern I have is that in step 5 of the Printer Profiling steps, it says to "Print the "printer-target-40.tif" file at its original size (approx. 7.92 x 5.77 inches)". Since the DVD is smaller than that and has a hole in the middle, can PP create a...
I just posted a question over at Mike's Profile Prism forum asking if I'll be able to create a good profile using Profile Prism for Taiyo-Yuden (now JVC) WaterShield DVD discs ==> HERE.
I thought I would post here to help generate "traffic" to it or possibly get a reply here as this forum has...
@aaron, take a look on craigslist. You might find one in your area for cheap, possibly even brand new. There's one or two listed in my area almost all the time (4 active listings right now).
