Peter mentioned dirty contacts so what about the old eraser trick? Rub a pencil eraser on the chip contact points.
This trick worked great on some communications gear I used long ago. When it started acting flaky, I would pull the board and "erase" the contact points.
Have you looked on craigslist? I look there often and other than my first 4500, craigslist is where I've got each subsequent one. They come up quite often.
You may get lucky and find someone who is willing to ship. Here's one in California with a box (if it's still available)...
+1 for Octoinkjet for sales and support.
Do a MP560 search for loads of threads discussing your printer. If you can't find the answer to your questions, do as The Hat suggests, post a new topic and you'll get help.
In the PSE Print dialog window Printer Settings section, click on Change Settings then Advanced Settings. That should bring up the Printer Properties where you should have the option to select borderless printing.
Hi Barney, [a belated] welcome to the forum. I'm glad you got your printer working. Thanks for posting a possible resolution and advice for others to learn from.
How far did you get in dismantling your printer (as per your other thread)? I wonder if you may not have connected something or otherwise have not quite put back just so.
The iP4500 my daughter had at university last semester is now a parts printer, I had to get her another one. If I can figure out how to get the power supply out, PM me and we can work something out.
I was in a similar boat a few years ago. Using a CIS with Epson R200s and then a 220. I too print on DVDs and when the the 220 head clogged up, I bought a Canadian version of the Canon iP4500 and started refilling. Once you get the hang of refilling, you won't miss the CIS, I sure dont.

I don't think this is a flow issue.
I swapped print heads with the one my daughter had at university. While it printed the light cyan and light magenta (with the same carts), the PGBK grid was missing the upper half vertical grid lines and has streak bands on the color bars. She had complained...
I just picked up another iP4500 off of craigslist for $15USD, score!! Well, maybe. The PGBK-5 cartridge was missing but the other CLI8 carts were OEM and full.
TPAGE=01202 not too bad.
After putting in a PGBK-5 cart, the very first nozzle check printed all color bands but the BK band was...
UPDATE: I was typing this (and looking up link) while the two of you exchanged posts). I'll leave my post simply for the link.
Did you recently refill the magenta cartridge? Look to see if the air vent at the top of the cartridge has ink in it. If so, that will cause a flow issue.

Hi st7, welcome to the forum. I can't help you directly but I assume you've come here because a "google" search didn't help. If so, I hope someone here can help.
