It feels like we're getting somewhere - even if it's not 'solving' the problem - maybe there isn't a problem? It just does it and that's that? It would be good to understand the rationale for why it happens (apart from making you use / buy more ink). If I line up all the things I wish to print...
Thanks. Not difficult at all - didn't even have to sign up
I could try phoning Canon but stupidly I've already started using non-Canon inks before resolving the problem (even though I'm not sure if it's a problem or supposed to be doing this) so I've probably invalidated my warranty I think?
OK, I've shortened it so you won't have the pleasure of watching my printer doing nothing for 1 minute!
Basically I print that A4 out (in the tray) then just over a minute later this happens (see video). If I print something else the whole thing happens again, and again etc. Is this right...
Yes maybe, but it doesn't do anything else 'wrong'. The monitoring seems fine, print quality ok. I just wish that I could stop it from going through this cycle so quickly, I mean, how often do they need to be cleaned?
I'm using various media and various settings - many different, same issue. Is it that it is supposed to be like this does anyone think? Has anyone else got this model?
Yes, five cards five times. 300GSM card, but does it with normal A4 100GSM or envelopes.
I have just changed the original Canon cartridges to aftermarket ones but there's no difference there - it was happening since I bought it. No other issues, thanks.
If I'm quick I can print without it...
Hi - I'm new so hope I'm doing the right thing...
Ive got a Pixma and use it to print personalised messages onto greetings cards. It's fine but after every print, if I'm not really quick to get the next one lined up it goes into its very noisy cleaning cycle (I'm assuming it's cleaning?). Does...
