With my HP I just have to do the adjustment. I print from LibreOffice, and I have a template with fudged margins built in. I can now rely on alignment within a slop of a millimeter or so. (With LibreOffice you can easily produce text or graphics.) With previous versions of Ubuntu, it was so...
Yes, that's stunning in stereo.
I've never viewed such large photos unaided in stereo before. It never occurred to me that you can view them cross-eyed. Since these photos are arranged for cross-eyed viewing, I guess that also means that you have to view them unaided--that you can't use a...
Peter D, that's interesting. I think you're onto something.
I've also experienced severe fading in a nice, clean, fairly unpolluted living room 1500 miles from the coast, sealed in a CD jewel case. Streaking indicated that it was light, and very dim light at that. I thought the culprit was...
Those are pretty much in line with what I have. The only thing is their K564XL, which they fill to only 14 mL. I routinely load the older cartridges with 30 g! I have one record of adding over 36g. I don't think the cartridge has physically changed size. Unless they added a baffle, then...
I looked, and it turns out that I do have some data for non-XL that I forgot about. Gross weights are full, new. Capacities are calculated from new - empty weight when the monitor says it's empty. (I don't have a date on these -- maybe 2 to 4 years ago. I think they are the new style with...
They have changed with time.
Here's what I have for the most recent 564XL's, new as received, with vent opened and outlet port cover removed:
M564XL: 25.36 g
PK564XL: 24.17 g
While I'm not paying the bill, £563 for a professional printer that's going to produce art prints for sale doesn't sound bad to me. I paid $400 for a laser printer maybe 20 years ago, and all it does it print B&W text.
I have had severe fading that I never anticipated. And it's one thing if you have just an occasional picture on the wall, but often it's not at all practical to reprint. Just what do you do when it's all those CD covers on the rack, or that art print you sold that they want to leave in their...
Well, I was fond of the Canon MX922, and you may still be able to find one new. I have never owned one, but it has four things going for it: (1) a sheet feeder; (2) Precision Colors supports it (and other Canons) with third-party cartridges that should make the printer extremely easy to...
A serious artist. I love it.
If I am not mistaken, a big selling point will be archival properties. Some things come to mind. First, you might want to view the light fading tests that have been done: http://www.aardenburg-imaging.com/ . There's another professional site that also does that...
I think I know what's wrong, The Hat. I can reply to other messages in my mailbox, but not that one. I'm going to guess that the other person has left the conversation, so no reply is possible. Still, I would expect the reply button to be grayed out instead of missing. But I see now that...
I'm not so sure how opaque pigment ink is. I saw some Pro-10 or Pro-1 prints on metallic paper, and they seemed amazingly transparent. I think that will look great on silver CDs!
Telv, if in doubt, follow Canon's directions, I guess.
I can't reply to your PM, because the "Reply" button seems to be missing.
Moderators: Hint hint.
Of course it stops, but that doesn't mean you can turn it without risking damage. The directions for printers I have seen tell you not to do this. Unfortunately, they don't exactly put the directions where anyone could possibly find them. :(
